is breaking news, a bomb squad taking a closer look at dynamite found in a building. and a wooer chester doctor called to court denying charges he snuck has a woman's bathroom and zapped a picture of a student. >> and dodging debt by a hair. a california driver describes the moment a metal beam crashed through his windshield. two breaking stories. the first one surrounding the red line train. mbta confirms the driver vasquez tied a cord around the train's throttle and did not set the brakes before stepping outside.

him inside and dozens of passengers were on board the train but no one was hurt. t workers cut the power. are after 9 minutes the train finally came to a rest after speeding by four stops. once again, the mbta tells 7news the driver of the runaway red line train no longer works for the mbta. also, an explosive discovery in foxboro. police sending us these pictures of boxes of unstable dynamite found in an old construction business. the cleaning company found the boxes and then called police. officers say the state police bomb squad took the dine night a safe location and detonated all of it. explosive experts say the dynamite was volatile and could have been dangerous. we'll bring you more information just as soon as we get it. also at 5:30, a doctor's denial in a worcester courtroom. police say he went into a woman's bathroom at u-mass medical school and took a picture of a student while she was still in the stall. >> and in khat today the doctor

what he says really happened. >> kelli o'hara joins us now with what the doctor said in comfort. >> yes. the doctor said he didn't do it but walked into the wrong bathroom by mistake and even gave police his cell phone but police didn't believe him, got a search warrant for the phone and still charged him with a crime. >> you can say anything at all to us about the charges. >> reporter: dr. marcus cooper quiet to our cameras, not saying anything about the charges he's facing or talking about an alleged 90 a woman's bathroom where prosecutors say he was taking a picture. >> camera lens, a phone pointing down towards her as she used the bathroom. prosecutors charged the frick-year-old with taking a photo of a woman partially naked in a stall. all this after the 26-year-old medical student says cooper took a photo of her while using the bathroom and took off. >> in a statement to police, cooper said he was, quote, chilling, emailing and texting

he says he left the woman's restroom and went into the mens room where the alleged victim followed him and confronted him. however, the young woman tells investigators that cooper admitted it was all a misunderstanding and told her, quote, you have no idea who i am, and if you didn't, you wouldn't be doing this right now. >> and a spokeswoman with u-mass tells us just a little while ago that he is no longer an employee with the school hospital at all. in worcester tonight, kelli o'hara, 7news. a firey crash in wakefield sending two people to the hospital. the car appears to have hit a guardrail on the side of route 128 this morning and burst into flames. two people were thrown from the car but expected to survive the crash. three suspects behind bars after being accused of stealing packages in south boston. witnesses say they saw the three men ripping boxes open and stuffing the items into shopping backs. police later identified them, all three men face larceny charges.

terrain. the loan survivor flagged down rescuers with a flashlight and that person is in critical condition. 7news turning to a family tragedy in michigan. a new mother holding her baby boy talking for the first time about losing her husband and her mother-in-law as she was giving birth. >> i don't want him out of my sight, like i just want him here. >> jeramiah was born at 8:03 saturday night, healthy, a little more than 8 pounds, 22 inches long. >> he looks like his dad but he has my lips. >> reporter: he wasn't supposed to arrive this early but his mom's high blood pressure kept her in the hospital and on saturday doctors decided a c-section was best. the baby's father ameile spokane mother-in-law. >> that was our plan, he was going to stay at home, get things ready because of course happen. >> reporter: this would be her

>> that was her biggest thing, she was just excited. every day, you know, just checking in. >> reporter: on saturday from call. it was time. she remembers her fiance 's last words. >> said he would be here and >> reporter: headed to the bronson methodist hospital, her fiance lost control of a car in comstock township and hit a tree. they died in the crash four hours before jeramiah was born. mom was back in her room recovering before her dad and stepmom told her the news. >> i remember all their faces and i knew something was wrong. i just did know how bad it was. >> now she's torn between joy and grief. >> it's a hard balance that i've been trying, to you know -- that's why he keeps -- you know, it's just him. >> and crystal says she wants her son to remember his grandmother as a woman who would have done anything for him and his father as a man who just

a california man inches away from death now reflecting on this extremely close call, that huge metal beam slammed through his windshield but left him with only scratches. today the driver says he's glad he was paying attention or else he might not have been able to be hoar to tell this frightening story. take a listen. >> reporter: it's a miracle. >> don lee says he still can't believe he survived this. last friday as he was driving south on a know san jose, a huge beam flew off a truck ahead of him and headed straight for his he says that's when he felt the surprising sense of calm. >> i saw clearly everything copying through the window. that moment was maybe a millisecond. >> beam bear lie missed him. leaving a few scratches on his arm. >> i would have died. i keep looking at picture and it's hard to believe right now.

i think north of the masspike will hold into the mid- to upper he. we're beginning to see the showers roll on through across western ohio and back down into the tennessee valley. this is gonna be the next rainmaker for us. it's gonna waste the travel though. east coast and i think the bulk of it holding off until tomorrow afternoon. i do expect a wet evening commute tomorrow. friday could have a few more showers around midday, low pressure going by, but look at saturday and sunday. we are dry. seasonably cold saturday and sunday and that's it for the seven-day forecast ahead. taking a look at service surface map tomorrow. you see a couple of spotty showers in and around southern new england. more like patchy drizzle later on tonight and through the

arrives tomorrow afternoon. late afternoon through the evening commute through the evening itself and overnight past midnight, we should dry out, including friday morning. i think it's a dry commute friday morning, aught, midday there may be another grazing shot with showers moving on in and then we're, finished as we go into the weekend. so in northern worcester county, you get out to fitchburg, orange, arbor ham and there may be a little freezing drizzle, very early tomorrow morning. otherwise, we're warmer in the afternoon, even thre i think we'll reach the low to mid-40s northern out on route 2. the city of boston, about 50 degrees. mid-50s south of the city. fog and rain to deal with in the afternoon. here comes a shot of cold weather for the weekend. one thing you haven't heard much of is lake-effect snow. you'll hear about it this weekend, especially on saturday, down wind off the great lakes. the air is cold enough, the water is plenty warm. you have that huge difference
