and then it does wind down. if by some chance you have a morning commute, there will be a couple of leftover sprinkles early tomorrow morning. to around 50. by tomorrow morning, the numbers close to 60 degrees, and near 70 tomorrow afternoon. we will talk more about your christmas day forecast in a few minuts. breaking news now in jamaica plain where people -- police say two people were shot just off of center street. 7's nick emmons now in jp with the latest on this. nick. >> yeah, elizabeth, what we've been told by police that two men were shot just before 4:00 this afternoon. their injuries are considered non-life-threatening. i can show you what's going on as of right now. police still on the scene here at 277 center street in the bromley heat housing development. again, two men were shot. we're told one in the shoulder, one in the leg. they were taken to the hospital. police are investigating still right now. no one has been arrested, that's what we've been told but police are gonna remain here questioning people.

we spoke with one person who lived in the building. she said she had not been allowed back in, but i recently saw her just go back in, so this investigation is ongoing. again, those two adult men were taken to the hospital with what is considered non-life-threatening injuries. that's the latest live in jamaica plain, nick emmons, 7news. and we're following a developing story. the chipolte restaurant in brighton closed for weeks after that norovirus outbreak, is set to re-open for business very soon. let's get the timing on that. 7's kimberly bookman in cleveland circumstancewell that information and reaction to the re-opening. kimberly. >> yeah, kim, you know, inspectors say the restaurant is now clean, the workers are healthy and they are allowing the place to open as early as tomorrow. >> reporter: this closed sign has hung on the chipolte door in cleveland circle for more than two weeks but could be gone as early as tomorrow. the fast-food restaurant passed an inspection this morning and was told they can re-open thursday. >> it's clean.

clear of all product. the employees in there, and everyone in there, has been cleared by the public health commission. so we're looking pretty good. >> reporter: this all comes after more than 150 people, mostly boston college students, got the norovirus after eating here. health officials say it stemmed from a chipolte employee who came to work sick as the restaurant gets set to re-open, that person's boss is now off the job. >> clearly somebody had asked a boss and he was told to stay to the end of the shift. bad mistakes here as consequences. >> reporter: after one firing, passing sanitation tests and retraining employees on procedures and policies, will chipolte recover? will customers come back? yeah. why not. >> if they have been cleared, i think we should be good to go. >> not right away. but, you know, again, these things do happen. so probably in the near future, i probably would come here. >> i think it was too much for me to go back again.

be honest. >> and the restaurant says it is making changes to the way the food is prepared before it is actually served to any of its customers. kimberly bookman, 7news. investigators still searching for clues after a deadly fire in westport. a 4-year-old boy died there, and 7news has learned there were problems with the apartment where he lived. 7's kelli o'hara here now live in westport with a look. >> yeah, you can actually see investigators with the state fire marshals office up there right now on the second floor. you can see they have their flashlights. they've been really focused on that area all day long as they try to figure out what sparked this deadly blaze. >> reporter: investigators back out on the scene of a deadly fire where a little boy lost his life. 4-year-old caleb was killed in his westport home on saturday. his mother and sister were badly burnt. 7news has learned that the home had issues. back in may, the fire department cited the landlord for

just last month, a judge had ordered the landlord to fix electrical issues after the mother had complained to a housing court. she the submitted pictures of exposed wiring, doors without windows, boarded-up walls and possible mold problems. and in another complaint, the mother claimed that there were no smoke detectors in her rental home. >> back out here live in westport, we actually see someone left candle and as teddy bear and a makeshift memorial to honor that little boy. the family actually was supposed to head to court tomorrow because they are being he served an eviction from their landlord for none payer of rent. this fire still under investigation. kelly o'hare , a 7news. 7news now in lynn and a real live grinch caught on camera stealing christmas lights has now found the spirit of the season. he turned himself in to police and says he's sorry for causing so much holiday heartbreak. 7's chris anderson is in lynn

>> well, this peabody man's holiday plans included a trip here to the lynn police department after he was watching television and saw on the newscast his crime caught on camera had no idea that the home that he was targeting had surveillance cameras rolling. is 'twas about a week before christmas and outside this house, there was something stirring and it wasn't a mouse. >> reporter: sandy's home security cameras capturing this real life grinch in the act, stealing christmas lights from her lynn home. >> he took the laser light beam and an extension cord and outside outlet. >> reporter: just like the grinch, the suspect's heart grew three times bigger after he saw himself in the surveillance video on the news. >> last night someone came to the station and turned the equipment in that had been stolen.

he felt bad about taking the items. >> i give him credit for coming in and admitting that he made a mistake. he does not have a criminal record and we're not gonna pursue the matter. >> reporter: and neither is sandy. >> are you still mad at him? do you forgive him? >> i forgive him. it's christmas. >> sandy definitely with the christmas spirit. in fact, she's saying she's happy to see that this suspect now has the christmas spirit, was able to step up and do the right thing and just in time for christmas so she can get those lights back up before friday. that's the story here in lynn, chris anderson, 7news. police make a dangerous discovery more than 100 guns and hundreds of rounds of ammo were stashed at a home in warren. john. >> warren police showed us some of these guns. we're talking all different kinds in bins filled with ammunition. >> he didn't just have these guns because he's a dangerous nut. and that's what they just made

>> reporter: daniel paristari held without bail after warren police went to his house the day before allegedly finding more than 100 guns and thousands of rounds of ammo. ak-47, ar15, hand guns. >> reporter: court papers say peristari was making threatening comments at police and had 143 guns registered to him but did have a license to carry after a d.u.i. conviction and never turned in the weapons as >> they're making a big huge thing out of nothing. he's a good kid. >> as well as a firearms collector. >> many of these are antiques. >> reporter: on wednesday, a judge ordered peristar i'll be held without bail much to the disappointment of his family that want him home for the holidays. >> there's nothing dangerous about dan.

talking about rain and at times the rain will be heavy and quickly moves through overnight tonight if you are up and at 'em early tomorrow morning, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00 i think there may be a couple of isolated showers but the steadiest of rain is over by about 4:00 in the morning. probably close to an nch of inch of rain by the time it winds he down overnight tonight. south of the front, the numbers jump into the 50s and 60s. new york city at 56. washington d.c. at 63. and that warm air is headed for new england during the day tomorrow. a lot of clouds, maybe the occasional sprinkle but if you have outdoor plans tomorrow, it should be okay. record warmth, that's the headline right there. temps tomorrow, upper 60s. the record is 61 in the city. boston tomorrow afternoon at 69. lawrence close to 70. billerica 70 degrees.
