to be made on the timing. >> anchor: timing communicate be worse. -- couldn't be worse. timm has on update for us. >> reporter: i could tell you things have improved slight lie here. there was a crowd of several hundred people here about 20 minutes ago waiting for the bus service that is replacing the train service here on the blue line. you see the reason why people, a lot of them coming to the doors to be surprised and when they pull on it it's locked. they closed downed blue line about an hour and a half ago because of a grate that fell inside one of the tunnels. they're doing bus service between boden and maverick. it's cold outside. a lot of frustrated people especially here at the bowedin stop. also at the aquarium stop because so many people were going to the state street bus when buses were coming to pick up people they were' getting full at state street so people were here at boden

several passed before they can get on. many people forced to wait over appear hour to get on one of the buses. >> everybody is, we vice-president officials from what to do or i've been waiting for about an hour. >> i've been coming back and forth fon are a hour now. my car is at beach mount. i'm cold. >> reporter: here you go. live look, picture outside the buses that are showing up they're absolutely packed to the brim. they're going to squeeze on. if you go to the left to show this back doo people trying to squeeze only the buses because it's so cold outside and they've been minutes. they're turning these people away at this point. meaning they'll have to wait for the next bus, from what we've seen some of the buses are coming in full so who knows how long these commuters will have to wait. tim caputo, 7 news.

taking a look at the roads. a little bit of a slushy mess out there. nick emmons is in our traffic tracker in tux -- looking. >> getting off on 62 here heading to wilmington. the highway looks pretty good but as you can see from our wipers, they have been working overtime this evening trying to clear off the wind shield with all the gunk that builds up. the side roads are the roads you need to be concerned about. they've been freezing over. temperature right now outside of our car is about 25 degrees. so that is below the freezing mark. it's freezing the outside north of the city. so be careful as you are driving around especially on the secondary roads. those can be especially dangerous, we've seen one accident already, a mini van spun out of control into a utility pole. so take it easy out there on the roads. give yourself extra time getting to where you need to g. the latest live from the emmons, 7 news.

mix on the roads causing accidents over the state today. as knick was just talking about. at least one he saw. it has been slow going no where you where you are. the merrimack valley hit the jackpot when comes to the alt of snow. it took a lot to get it cleaned up. general egan has a look for us. >> reporter: there was quite a bit of work to do throughout the day. 93 the traffic is moving just right along. it was the side streets that you had to be concerned about. for people in charge of clearing those side streets the question was whether or not to plow today. snow packed streets making for dangerous driving. the driver of this mini van spun off the road. this man was in the passenger seat. >> it is very slippery. it's icing on top. >> reporter: in andover the town decided to salt the them. the driver of this maz ratty wishes they had done more to clear the road. >> you think they would have been looking forward to this. here on this street about a quarter to 9:00. some of them weak up to shooting, sirens, crete screaming inned streets. it was tough to watch. >> there was two guyings laying in the streets. one was yelling like he was in pain recommendation a sad time in mattapan assed about records another murder err days after christmas. >> i heard one of the guys screaming "he shot me, owe shot me." >> reporter: police think someone in a dark colored acura drove by two teens and opened fire gunning them down in broad day light. >> they were' pressing on his stomach to make sure there is no more blood coming out. he kept screaming asking if he was going to die. >> reporter: one of the teenagers did die. another teen suffered a wound to his lower body and is expected to survive. >> he was able to lift off his hands. i want to say like his leg area. like below the waist. >> reporter: police removed bags of evidence.

he says he had been driving and he knew he was cut off with a man driving a land recovery. the two pulled in a parking lot and a weapon was whipped out. a neighbor saw everything, called 911 and when police got there they arrested a man, michael mccull yen of andover for allege lid pointing a pistol at a snow pl driver. in court he had to answer to a jung and that snow plow driver says he is glad this man is blind bars. >> he stepped back. he pushed me back and stepped back and drew his weapon. and pointed it right at me. so. >> >> reporter: what were you thinking? >> it was scary, it's, it's is not what you expect in andover at 10:00 in the morning. >> reporter: mccullum is being held without bail. he is blind bars. he is going to face a judge on thursday for a dangerousness hearing. he is facing serious charge,

the north it drained to the merrimack valley then down into the city of boston. essentially what happened earlier today the east wind was strong enough to scour out some of the colds air and the hold it up to the north. now once the wave of low pressure slid to the east of us,the wind turned back out of the north and the cold air came back down through southern new england. so we have that concern for the refreeze and black ice tonight. 28 in the city of boston. 41 down in plymouth. 29 in norwood. basically you are following that front again. essentially right along 24 right now. randolph below freezing. west bridgewater about to go back below freezing. 29 foxboro so seeing the cold area deep down 95 and we'll see the cold area in place. temperatures hold down to the 20's where do we go from here? temperatures tomorrow afternoon above the freezing mark. closer to 40 degrees. evening showers swinging through then that is it. quiet weather, seasonal
