swerving into wrong side of road slamming into secret service car that was part hillary clinton's detail. one person was killed. the night team susan tran is in wakefield live with more. susan. >> reporter: adam, that driver wasn't even supposed to be driving. police say his license had been suspended since 2014. and they believe he was trying to pass a car when he crossed over the double yellow lines hitting those agents. 45-year-old bruce danforth killed his girlfriend and friend seriously hurt. police say danforth was driving on icy route 16 in wakefield, new hampshire tuesday night when he crossed the double yellow lines and crashed head-on into a car with four secret service agents. >> mr. danforth did no possess a valid driver's license at the time of the accident mr. danforth was known to us and he has an 77s criminal history. the car he was driving in pieces. first responder had to cut doors

tim caputo live in douglas with the story. tim. >> liz, this is time year people start turning there heat on also time you start hearing carbon monoxide poisoning cases and typically not good news. in this case it is. fire department and police department here in douglas commending that joining boy for doing right thing ats exactly the right time. >> wednesday morning ten-year-old braden wilcox broke up to sound of beeping. i thought it was spoke detector his older brother also in bed heard beeping too like lot of people do i ignored it i just alert. because usually we have that in our smoke detectors. so as i was half asleep i was thinking nothing big. so i should just probably go back to sleep. their mom happened to call told braden to check carbon monoxide detector downstairs. when ten-year-old realized that is where sound was coming he knew exactly what to do. i woke up my brother. we went outside and then we called the fire department. douglas fire department arrived

we proceeded inside to meter the building. we immediately got alarms. of high carbon monoxide levels. boy's mother wan oh the phone with braden whole time. feeling of helplessness. i was still having knots in my stomach thinking what if could have happened. thankfully neither boy was hurt and to make sure it stay that is was the family bought three knee co detectors. turns out braden had a little help he wroent recently completed fire department student awareness fire education or safe program and says that's how he knew to get out of the house immediately. he needs to be commended i'll putting him in recommending him for a young hero award. douglas brave rest consider him a hero so does his older broe. he saved my life i guess you could say i'm proud of him for doing that. >> and family says they believe the or i didn't know of carbon monoxide leak was burner a furnace in basement. they've since fixed problem and also have though three new carbon monoxide detectors to boot. live tonight in douglas, tim

stretching all way up into merrimac valley. certainly below the freezing mark here into upper 20s and lower 30s. same case out worcester count then you work your way down 495 attleboro foxboro running right around freezing with moisture coming in we have had some areas of freezing rain. visibility reduced as well with a fog in place. ats love low level moisture in place. basically the atmosphere got stuck at the lowest level today temperatures did not move much now radar showing all pockets of freezing rain working in you notice some yellow and oranges showing up no northwest worcester counts. i wouldn't surprised to couple sleet pellets mixed in with freezing rain. piece of ice that bounces off car or bounces off object it hits freezing rain super cooled lick wit droplets that give you that glaze that freeze on contact to current tops and roads sidewalks and driveways we have that north and west of boston.

freezing or just below freezing if roads have been salted and sanded most of main roads should be okay. going to be secondary roads that are untreated. driveways sidewalks that will be slickest over next several hours moisture continues to push in to that sub freezing air. and really through about 3 o'clock in morning although there may be pockets just after that too still click here, just away from the immediate coastline. and i notice it down bristol county to include folks in attleboro. stretches out through worcester count over next few hours. now as we go through the rest of the night into early morning hours tomorrow precipitation begins to taper off. still could a couple showers left over. six, seven, 8 o'clock in morningbut once that west wind kicks in we will shake off cloud cover too. we will get back to at least partly sunny skies for the afternoon. i think that transitions late morning into the early afternoon. and then once that happens, temperatures jumping up into 40s for all of us. so we'll shake off slippery spots and if you had that
