23-year-old man facing murder charges after being arrested in a salem, new hampshire, hotel last night. his capture and the arrest brought the victim's mother to tears. >> adam: her son was an innocent bystander caught in the cross fire. kelli o'hara spoke to the mother and she is live in lawrence with the latest. >> reporter: good evening. real-heart breaking story. the mother breathing a sigh of relief. two other men arrested but this other man was out there and she is glad this other man is finally being brought to justice. >> i'm so happy for you. >> me too. >> you are a allowed to cry. grateful about the new that is her son's alleged killer has finally been caught. >> i'm glad they got the third person. now i hope the suckers get what they deserve. >> reporter: joshua chavez arrested last night by police in salem, new hampshire.

been hiding out and investigators picked up drugs and a loaded gun hitten under the mattress. he was wanted for the murder of this lawrence father. he shot and killed in august of 2014. trussle was at a party. got caught in the cross fire. >> he would give you the shirt off his back. he lived only for his kids. >> random shooting. these guys got out of the car and it's horrible. it has been horrible. >> reporter: the mother says the arrest has given her the peace she needs. although her family deeply misses mark, through this tragedy, he was able to save other lives. >> he was an organ donor, and he saved to date he saved five lives to mark always thinking of other people. always. >> reporter: chaffess is being held without bail. he will be in front of a judge in lawrence sometime

>> elizabeth: we're following more news today. an apartment building in everett up in flames. firefighters using ladders to reach the top and put ott the fire. firefighters worked to contain the fire. no word on if anyone was hurt. a webster woman is behind bars after police say she robbed two stores then tried to rob a local restaurant earlier this week. police say karly fifield demanded money from a gas station and a pharmacy gun. she was arrested after she allegedly caused a disturbance at a restaurant saying she had a gun. the gun turn out to be a water pistol. he is being held without bail. >> audience member: mother grieving after a deadly mistake in florida. the woman was asleep when her daughter came home. the mother thought her daughter was an intruder and fired a shot at her. the victim was taken to the
