endanger many charges after police say she left her 8-month-old baby alone in a car at the wrentham outlets. a shopper called 911. the car was parked in a handy cap spot. the mother was in the store for about ten minutes. the baby was taken to norwood hospital. d.c.has been notified. >> the commuter rail getting back on track after this early-morning derailment. buses replacing trains on the route. it took several hours to get service restored and right now, it does seem that the cold weather caused the train to go off the rails, tell us more. >> reporter: you know, it's the first cold snap of the season and there was trouble on the tracks. officials are now saying that the train troubles this morning may have been caused by the cold weather. >> this may be related to last night's cold temperatures were in the single digits. >> reporter: commuter rail officials say the season's

caused a train on the haverhill line to go off the tracks causing a commuter nightmare north of boston. >> steel does expand and contract on extreme temperatures whether it be hot and cold. so that would be a factor that i think people would be looking at. >> reporter: keolis, the commuter rail operator says at least two cars derailed in andover around 4:00 am but the engineer didn't know it until he travelled another mild. >> he in thed that the train was travelling sluggishly. he stopped the train here in lawrence and did a visual inspector with the conductor and saw they derailed. >> reporter: no passengers were on board and no unwith was hurt but the derailment blocked other trains and caused numerous cancellations and the delays. passengers waiting in subfreezing temperatures had to be bussed between haverhill and andover. >> it's too cold, waiting, you know, without any word of what is happening. there is no notification. >> reporter: maintenance
