the baby was taken to norwood hospital. d.c.f.has been notify and we are staying on top of the story for you. >> ryan: also four men blind bars charged with distributing a deadly dose of heroin. the batch is labeled as hollywood and it's many plameed for eight deaths in western mass. >> jadiann: nick emmons joins us with the latest. >> reporter: the charges that the four men are facing could become more severe because the heroin they're accused of distributing caused several deaths. >> there is a potential for very serious charges. >> reporter: four men arraigned in springfield district court accused of dealing with batch of heroin that led to several overdoses deaths in western massachusetts. >> it's not a victimless crime. drugs put our victims at risk but it victimizes everybody. >> reporter: the men were arrested in springfield over the weekends.

bags of heroin labeled hollywood. the same label found near the bodies of eight overdose victims. the district attorney is looking at possible manslaughter charges. >> if we knew through some evidence, some witness statements, text messages that the actual heroin provided caused deaths. >> reporter: a drug dealer was convicted of manslaughter after the d.a.proved he provided the heroin that led to a deadly overdose in ludlow. all four of the men are being charged with possession and the distribution of heroin. perez is charged with trafficking and faces a minimum of 12 years in prison. live in the newsroom i'm nick emmons, 7 news. >> jadiann: candidates tackling addiction in new hampshire today. elected officials speaking about the opennoid epidemic in the region.
