a pennsylvania judge ruled there was no agreement between cosby and proskurtd ecutor prosecutors. this cosby's attorneys contend he had been promised a decade ago that charges would never be filed. this comes a second straight day after arguments and testimony. and he said he believes the 2005 decision not to prosecute cosby was irrevocable. and pointed to caster's news release announcing the decision as proof charges would never be filed. tuesday caster himself testified that when he decided cosby wouldn't be charged, he meant none of his successors would prosecute him either. and schmidt says if the threat

as for this morning, it seems a awfully mild. just feels kind of nice out there, chris. >> chris: absolutely. temperatures into the mid-50s. that mild air, we had gusty winds last night and overnight into early this morning. rockport, 65mph wind gusts. south boston at 51. cambridge at 43. we picked up a decent amount of rain, about a half an inch to an inch across the area. 56 in plymouth. 58 in fitchburg. very warm start to the day. you don't see this often in february, although we've been saying that a lot the last four days. take a look at the wind direction out of the southwest. that southwesterly wind has been active this morning, but it's also dragging in that mild air. now, we have dried out in a lot of place, however, a few spotty showers developing down through connecticut and into rhode island and also a couple spotty showers back through upstate new york. so i can't rule out passing shower or two this morning, but i do expect partial sunshine as we get into the afternoon. you got to love new england

we're going from the mid-50s today to a winter storm watch in effect for tonight into early friday afternoon for rain changing over to snow down through southeastern mass. it looks like we could get a good slug of some wet snow for tomorrow morning just in time for the morning commute. timing the storm out, as we go through this afternoon, yes, we catch some dry times through the evening hours, and then as we go through the overnight hours, the rain moves back in. temperatures start off at 40 degrees, but as colder air works in, that rain going over to snow. it will be snowing for a lot of us during the morning commute tomorrow. the heaviest of the snow the further south and east you go, down through southeastern mass where we had that winter storm watch posted. how much snow to expect? more on that as "today in new england" starts right now. >> christa: good morning. lawrence families forced from their home by fire. a wild night made it tougher on firefighters. >> sarah: a small state with a big impact in the race for the white house.
