>> let's get right to the scene. jadiann thompson live in chelmsford for us, jadiann. >> i just spoke with family that 15-year-old boy you're talking about is okay. thankfully but his clenl aged sister was talking for me over the phone. they are saying they can't believe what happens in their family tonight. she says they were playing on hover board and all of sudden, it started to smoke and that's when things got out of hand. you can see that the fire department says a hover board sparked and then it caught fire. the home immediately filling with smoke. board is then melted. floor is burned out. all of this happening in the kitchen area of the home to which now there's a considerable amount of damage. the fire department just spoke with us moments ago telling us what it is like when they showed up. i went in with thermal imaging camera trying to find where fire was initially. i could see their was small fire in the living room and i just radioed outside for them to bring in and an stin wishinger. it is probably like 30 pounds

maybe not at 11 o'clock at night, but along with cars out here plenty of pedestrians and people riding there bikes. yesterday when if was fairly busy a woman riding her bike was hit by a car. but that driver never stopped. >> cambridge police officer has placed on administrative leave after being involved in a hit and run accident not far from the police station. sunday night just before 8, a woman riding her bicycle near broadway and portland street in cambridge was hit by a car. driver of that car never stopped. the woman was hurt was rushed to the hospital her injuries are not life threatening. cambridge police tonight confirm the officer who was off duty at the time of the crash was involved and police did witness the crash and an off duty tracked down. so far that officer has not been charged. u hit and run is being investigated by district attorney's office, state police and cambridge police. that officer will remain on leave pending the outcome of
