gonna have leftover winenergy. and so as we work toward later on tonight, probably around midnight tonight, you notice this orange reddish squiggly line here, that's heavy downpours. winds will be on the order at times between 40 and 55 miles per hour. so because of that have, the national weather service has issued a wind advisory through morning. this is the kind of wind energy that can snap small limits and perhaps lead to minor power disruptions through the day tomorrow as well as overnight tonight. police say the team was driving to school when it wreck happened. >> the wreckage was terrible and we know her younger brother was also in the car. let's get more now.

driving on route 62 this morning when she lost control of her car and it crashed into a tree. the 17 year-old and her brother were both rushed to the hospital. she did make it. the crash happened just after 9:00 this morning, barry police say that they don't know the cause of the crash, but slick road conditions may have been a factor. the local school district has delayed class for two hours because of the icy weather and we have a crew on the way to barry and we'll bring you more information as we get it into the newsroom. 7news. wynn everett changing the plan for its upcoming casino ground breaking. in fact, the way it looks right now it's not scheduled anymore. >> the company says an appeal by the city in somerville forced this decision. we have a closer look at the decision and all the stuff that's going on.

>> a defiant somerville mayor came out firing back against the wynn casino team. he says it's not about the money. he says he's just doing his job of protecting the health and environment of somerville residents. >> reporter: somerville mayor joe curtatone says he's not backing down from the five environmental lawsuits the city has filed against the wynn casino. no amount of public harassment will keep me from doing my job and advocating for the health and well-being of the residents of our community. >> reporter: he says traffic is one of his major concerns and the casino will put 18,000 more cars on somerville streets, threatening the health of city residents. >> this is not about politics. this is not about steve wynn opinion i haven't even met the man and it's not about expanding gaming. this is about protecting the quality of life and the future of the people of my city.

cameanini hit a woman on a bike last sunday and drove off. investigators say he was off duty at the time of this crash. the woman was rushed to the hospital and has since been released. police say the incident is still under investigation. turning now to a developing story. a woman from holbrooke found safe in connecticut. her husband reported her missing when she didn't pick up her son from daycare on monday saying it was out of character for her. kimberly bookman is live in holbrooke with details on where police caught up with the woman. >> she was found just like you said one state away in connecticut thanks to a very alert citizen. >> reporter: detectives delivered word to mr. sales that his wife was found alive and well in neighboring waterford connecticut. >> her husband is in the room and we're very happy with this positive outcome. >> reporter: the holbrooke mom vanished monday afternoon. police say she was supposed to pick up her son at daycare but

her disappearance made headlines as her family prayed for a safe return. >> reporter: a concerned citizen who knew the missing mom was last seen in a white toyota camary took notice. >> she was located by a citizen who had seen the vehicle on tv. he was located in the parking lot of of the shopping plaza. >> reporter: when police arrived to the mall in connecticut, judy sales was not in the car. they waited and eventually she returned from the stores. officers say while she was in good health, she did request to go to the hospital and now her husband is on his way to reunite with her and figure out exactly what happened to read it this all-out search effort. >> i'm glad it was a positive outcome. >> at leigh it's a happy ending. >> and police do not believe that any foul play was involved. they do hope to talk to her when she returns home. kimberly bookman, 7news. a local man charged in a hospital bed. police say he made a dangerous

police say he's charged with injuring a pedestrian. dan hausle is live with the latest here this evening. >> yeah, here at south shore hospital, investigators say that the driver's blood alcohol level when he was tested was the equivalent of point 36. at the same time, the suspect's mother tells me she feels for the victims in this case and has a suspicion of what might be behind her son's alleged actions. >> reporter: bruised, batter and facing charges, thomas mohan arraigned in his hospital bed accused of being drunk behind the wheel in connection with a crash that leaves a weymouth man with life-threatening injuries. >> he is still in critical condition at this time. >> reporter: mohan was seen on video after the crash taking a sobriety test and falling to the street. became unruly, and officers had to assist the paramedics putting him on the stretcher as

>> i feel sick. >> reporter: mohan's mother tells me she's thinking about those hurt between her son's alleged actions. is. >> reporter: police say mohan was drunk when the van he was driving ran into a pickup truck and then ran down a 30-year-old man. prosecutors say mohan broke his nose when he fell to the street and that and a possible bout of pneumonia keeping him in the hospital but not keeping him from facing charges. >> he was just going through a lot of depression, you know. >> he was going through a hard time, family issues. $15,000. even if the suspect gets out of the hospital and post that bail, he still won't go free because the judge said no bail on an

live in weymouth, dan hausle, 7news. we're following more news today, a day after the boston latin headmaster responds to allegations, new ones, of racism at the school, mayor marty walsh calls for change. two students say they met with the school leader over her concerns and then they say nothing was done. headmaster sent a letter to students and staff this week apologizing for not responding sooner. in part of the letter, lynn mooney writes this. while i am optimistic that the dialogue's begun over the past few weeks will lead to a mo respectful and welcoming racial climate at our school, i deeply regleet we did not begin such conversationserrier. mayor walsh says he'll be looking further into the the matter. >> we have to make sure that the proper action will be taken here. again, my biggest concern is on the impact on the students. >> the mayor says his office is launching a review separate from the school investigation. a celebration of black

well, actually he is, when physically shoved to the ground, you almost imagine he's going to bounce back and terminator style slug the guy but instead he just rights himself. the video shows the humanoid robot's coordination and mobility and doesn't left the snow drift get him down, quickly adjusting his footing. he can stock shelves with ease, burns off annoyances quickly readjusting. by looks of this hunk of metal, we might be seeing him opening a door near us soon. in boston, susan tran, 7news. >> next thing you know he'll be running the boston marathon. >> i'm overwhelmingly impressed by that. >> how about if he was your helper. you walk into the house and that guy is moving around.
