to come in and say the titles of the porn they wanted to see out loud. so work with me. this will take seven hours to explain. he had a process, there were pieces of paper, and a thing of golf pencils. if you wanted to rent porn, you had to write down, in the order of preference what porn titles you wanted. and then, 19-year-old me would read them, starting from the back, go get vhs cassettes, very old. then i would go and see if they were there, come back. we don't have this one. then they would start to write their way through other porn titles. they wanted. so basically there would be a paper trail of all of the porn you wanted. >> seth: i can't believe, the first three got turned down. can't belief they couldn't write any porn. >> any porn. >> seth: please do not come out without a porn. >> yeah, yeah. and some, do you just want to kind of give you one we have laying around.

i've been calling him your lens of what not to do. he's definitely not an authority. he doesn't have his life together and he gets into these amazingly bizarre situations through a combination of bad luck and terrible decisions. >> we're going to mexico. just relax. you can count on me. now excuse me while i chase my pig. ? who created the show, about sort of where it all came from, and he said it was from talking to his friends now about their 20's, and they said, one, it was the best time of my life and two, i'm amazed i didn't die. ? the structure of the show -- we've sort have been comparing it to "the hangover" in so far as you see the whatever crazy situation we got ourselves into, and then we go back and establish how we got there. the pilot starts with me being held hostage and having buckets of water thrown in my face and the second episode start with being held up by paula abdul.

they got the job at goldman sachs, and there was an actual salary, in, you know, the whole thing. and i didn't have that at all. i didn't even have a sort of a permanent visa at that point, so i kind of had a year to stay in the states. and at the time, it was like, well i've got this one year, i had done a couple of plays, professionally, in boston so, why not pick the most volatile and unpredictable profession on the planet? i mean, you know, might as well give it a shot and see what happens. ? >> what makes the show a little bit more fun is that it develops in ways that are very honest to the way in which 20-somethings interact. it's complicated, it's multi-faceted, multi-layered and the show isn't afraid of having that heart that is really beating underneath all the craziness, and i think that's what will hopefully give us some staying power, because, yeah, it's fun to see cars exploding and all the crazy stuff that we do but at the end of the day you
