>> we just spoke with mayor walsh, and he announced new standards. i just want to go through a few of those for you. first off, there's a headcount procedure. that means staff will conduct headcounts on 60-minute interval and a child staff ratio with a minimum ratio of 10:2 for childrens 6 and under and 20:2 all children that enter the ocean are required to wear a life preserver at all time and a maximum of ten children and two staff members will be allowed in the water at any one time. they must remain in the water all times. finally, there are security cameras, 34 security cameras brought online to increase security across the curley community center by tuesday. also by tuesday all summer youth activities programs staff will undergo a full day of

wog50/50 weekend. tomorrow is the nicer of the two days. mix of clouds and sunshine. sunday a few scattered showers not washed out. we're no 90s in the forecast for a while perhaps not until the end of next week. we had a batch of rain loaded with tropical moisture, and the thing just went a little south, and we did not get under the big bag of rain in metro boston. the cape and islands grazed with that batch of steady rainfall. even nantucket, three-quarters of an inch of rain. there were indications that maybe we would pick up 1 to 2 inches of rain. not happening. for the month of july, the city

city-run summer camp in south boston. >> officials confirm it was an accidental drowning. >> the mayor of boston is calling for a number of new safety measure to begin on tuesday, but the commissioner of police says this was just a tragic accident. 7-year-old kyzr willis from dorchester drowned at carson beach on tuesday. the boy got away from camp counselor was and found a few hours later in the water. they say the search started after kyzr's gone. camp director called police, they sent search crews out and after about four hours they did find kyzr in the water. the commissioner says no foul play here. it's just a tragic case of a kid slipping away. >> you know, you lose sight of a kid for even seconds, a tragedy like this can happen.
