reiner joins us with a timeline for monday's rain. >> jeremy: the rain we had this morning a 10th of an inch of rain that down here in the city less than 2/10 of an inch of rain. so it is scattered in nature and that will be the case overnight tonight and through the day tomorrow. we are on the doppler radar. several batches of rain even downpours moving east across new england. first off here at the root of two quarter the deeper green, heading east into the merrimack see the rain. we all need the rain. we have another batch of rain through hartford and the 610 south toward long island. this will also slide east across massachusetts as well as rhode island. it is a weather system that is draped across the northeast it hasn't moved all that much of it is not going to the next couple of days. which is good, that means you

night team. >> ryan: the night team releasing new details of a murder suicide involving one of their former officers. investigators say it started in providence but ended after a chase across state lines in new jersey. rhode island police coming the garage of this providence him saturday night with a former police officer franklin osgood shot killed his wife. investigators say he then drove to new jersey with her the trunk of her car. the investigation began saturday afternoon after osgood called his children saying he had done something back to his mother b3 right the way, former officer osgood was talking it seems that we were concerned for the safety for both his wife and himself. >> reporter: detective say they got in touch with osgood over the phone and tracked him driving all the way to maryland before turning around and heading north again. eventually police found osgood

crashing into a barrier. that is one police say he took his own life with the same weapon he used to kill his wife. and police are still investigating this crime but set osgood likely shot his wife on friday. police searching for a suspect after an overnight shooting in dorchester. investigators say somebody to fired shots in washington street just before 4:00 this morning. four people were taken to the hospital, right now there is no of it ryan: discretion bedford, new hampshire. one died of his injuries this weekend. the driver is in jail facing homicide and drunk driving charges. the card slammed into a utility fall on south river road. a second messenger has been released from the hospital. >> if there is new new tonight after a hot air balloon crash but investigators have now identified the pilot, alfred skip nichols was piloting that hot air balloon that was carrying 50 other people before
