provider. warning from officials as the fogging continues. the cdc also says they continue to monitor the blood supply here in the miami area. we're in miami, brandon buyer, 7 news. >> anchor: also today two suspected robbers tracked and in trouble. plus say they made off with hundreds of dollars from an atm all over new england. investigators say they were able to track down those robbers using cell phones. >> anchor: so said they were in court facing charges linked to a number us tonight dan? >> reporter: police say these burglars used or stole the phones in cars they used in the atm burglaries. the one thing they say these guys bought were tools they used to break in. prosecutors say these two men are one-half of a solvisted gang that broke into atm's across funk and stole hundreds of thousands of dollars. very disciplined, very nuanced and very sophisticated

and within 30 seconds strike and disable the alarm systems. prosecutors say the gang stole cars and phones they used in the break ins but investigators say they traced those same stolen phones to the atm robberies. phones the suspects registered in their own names. the phone records for these two gentleman and phone number we just discussed placed them at each one of these break ins on a employer occasion before the break in. when the suspects left behind the tools of their trade because police interrupted an atm robbery in wellesley, prosecutors say they were spotted buying reem very next day. mr. barker had to buy knew tools because he left all of those tools behind he then went to home depot on april 17 and brought the same grinders he used then used hanover . despite all of the high-tech evidence defense lawyers say police got the wrong guys. all they have is two guys and a mask and dark clothing. and as mr. allison said in the winter in massachusetts, that could be anybody.

those two suspects this morning they seized $80,000 this cash, burglary tools and a gun. they are still looking for the two other suspects. live in lowell, dan hausle, 7 news. >> anchor: sky 7 over a rollier accident, this on route 495 by exit 18. the crash happened just this afternoon. you can see here rescue workers tried to get the car back on its right side and there it goes. they are getting it done. that's actually it and there is no word on any injuries or what caused this crash in the first place. >> anchor: police are looking assault on orange line and mbthave identified him as jose guthrie. the 40-year-old is wanted for questioning regarding assault with a dangerous weapon. they say the incident happened on a train at the tufts medical center station tuesday night. the search continues for a sexual assault suspect in hingham. here is a sketch of the man investigators say broke into a home and sexually assaulted an elderly woman on thursday night. now police say the suspect is about 65 years old with thinning gray hair, brown eyes and thin billed.

suicide involving a retired police officer. investigators believe the former officer shot and killed his wife in his home on friday. authorities say he then drove to new jersey with his whiff' body and turned the gown on himself when officers spotted him on the highway. police say they got suspicious after the retired officer called his children saying he lad done something bad to their mother. p by the way former officer osgood was talking it seemed that we were concerned himself. >> anchor: right now police are still trying to figure out a motive behind that shooting. >> anchor: fire crews in malden working to put out an attic fire there today. this is on salem street. fire officials say people were home at the time but everyone got out safely to the rescue in holyoke after two hikers get lost. the hikers were in mt. tom's state reservation hen they ran into some trouble.

helicopter that flew over the area looking for them. they were rescued and are expected to make a full recover. the ashland fire department helping a little guy in a tight spot. a few cues along with animal control worked to get a dog out from under this debris here. an abandoned hole on main street. the dog was freed and appeared to be okay. >> anchor: we're following more news today. a swat standoff when a colorado man climbing a tree to escape police is shown here the man wanted on several warrants including attempted murder was about 6 hours. police used water and gas pellets to try and force him out of the tree. so the man eventually climbed out by himself and he was arrested without further incident. >> anchor: police in california on a high speed chase today that ended on this residential street. you can see the driver about to get cornered on dead end but spins around and drives over someone's lawn then she slams right into a parked car before speeding back down the road. police caught up with her

custody tonight. well, the university of texas opened a new memorial today to commemorate the 50th anniversary of a mass shooting on that school's campus. the new memorial was dedicated to victim of the shooting in 1966. charles whitman kind a clock tower and use adsniper rifle to kill 14 people and hurt 32 others. he was eventually shot by police say demolition derby accident leaves three spectators hurt. this happening in utah. so you can see here one of the trucks hits pound drive shaft to just go flying through the area and then up there into the crowd. liam duke was one of those injured. he says he has a sore foot but his mother got a broken ankle and deep cut on her leg from it. i was just in so much shock i didn't even know i was hurt for like 30 seconds later. it was pretty crazy like they shot it out of a robert or something. >> anchor: the third person injured was taken to a near hospital while they were still recovering from the accident.

worries in another per american city. officials in portland, oregon are saying public schools at the center of concern here. sara french has the story.. signs of a water crisis in portland public schools. water fountains turned off, bottled water handed out. for parents and teachers outrage when tests leaked to a local newspaper showed lead level over the epa gallons and gallons of sing water because we didn't know. where does the buck stop when it comes to notifying when lead levels are high. the superintendent announced her early retirment the same day an independent investigation found the distribute failed to provide clean drinking water to students and staff and now new tests show high lead levels at least 75 portland public schools. the federal standard for lead in drugging water is 15 iopa.

breaking news regarding the zikka virus. the centers for disease control is telling women to specifically avid a section of south florida where the virus is spreading rapidly. health lead interns florida anowing ten new home-grown cases today. >> anchor: so the cdc taking extreme steps to contain the virus. ryan schulteis at the breaking news desk with more on what's going on here. >> reporter: the cdc says pregnant women need to watch out and avoid going it a specific part of miami. right that area caused by mosquito bites right here in the u.s. florida's governor says nearly all of the cases are in a one square mile neighborhood. just north of downtown miami. health work verse been going door to door in that area testing residents. crews are spraying for moss wheats and their hot spots. rick scott said he asked the centers for disease control to send an emergency response team to help the florida health department deal with the proble. today we ask for cdc emergency response team that
