has identified up to 14 people infected with the zika virus believed to be through mosquito bites. the cdc is issuing a travel warning to pregnant women and their partners to avoid the affected area in miami. of the ten nearly discovered cases six showed no symptoms. health officials only discovered them during door to door urine testing. how concerned are officials that >> they're very concerned. it's a very unusual step the cdc took to issue a travel warning for one specific neighborhood in miami. some are calling this the zika zone. this is where mosquitos are spreading the zika virus. local mosquitos, not folks getting the virus from outside the united states and coming into south florida. 14 people have contracted the

the cdc director says this mosquito that spreads the zika virus has proved to be a worthy adversary, possibly immune to insecticide or hiding in standing water in the area. >> what we're looking at carefully is is it expanding? is there a place beyond this one-mile radius that needs to be looked at? right now that one-mile radius already is quite a buffer zone beyond the concentrated area at the center of it where there's been transmission. >> now, the cdc pregnant women who have been in that area go check with their doctor. also folks expecting to become pregnant who have been in that area should wait at least eight weeks before trying to get pregnant. the cdc says you can avoid the area altogether or use mosquito repellent. >> important information there. thank you so much. an arizona couple has been arrested after abandoning their two-year-old son so they could play pokemon go.

? you're only a day away ? welcome back, everybody. so officials investigating saturday's deadly hot air balloon crash are raising concerns about the pilot's background. according to court documents, alfred nicolles had arrests for drugs but appears none of this may have been disclosed to the faa because of a loophole in pilot licensing rules. it's unacceptable that federal regulations do not require a master certificate for balloon pilots. it remains unclear if pilot error or his past alcohol problems played a role in the crash. his ex- girlfriend says he's been sober for years.

suspension. what he said to honor a friend and a former teammate coming up. >> sarah: let's send it over to danielle gersh with a check of your forecast on this tuesday morning. >> danielle: hey, sarah. good morning, everyone. we made it into through monday. we're enter tuesday morning, and we're watching some scattered showers mainly across western mass, moving through the berkshires and into worcester county. i'd grab the umbrella and have it with you at least through this afternoon, through lunchtime today. most of that activity western mass, but it's moving east. so i think right around 495 you'll see that rain for your morning commute heading into about 7:00, 8:00 a.m. as you head enter lunchtime. i think chance the see showers does get smaller. by 3:00 p.m., the best chance to see any showers isolated in nature will be south of the pike for today. by this afternoon, we get to see the sunshine again, and throughout the week, temperatures will continue to warm back into the 80s, but for today, another day with those temperatures in the 70s.
