on this disturbing story. >> reporter: that man's wife had filed this restraining order back in may saying her husband had tried to kill her before. douglas steves in handcuffs in front of a judge hours after he walked right into the lobby of the salem police station and confessed to strangling his wife. >> the officer asked him if he could help him, mr. steves responded i just killed moo wife. the the fer said you what. mr. steves repeat that had he just killed his wife. >> reporter: carmela saunders lived in fear for her life and in fear of her husband and prosecutors say early this morning, those fears came true. when police discovered her body in home shortly after her husband's confession, they were going through a authorizes and the woman filed a restraining order to keep her husband away. >> i don't care what happened to me but i will get you. >> reporter: family says

lexington about a .1 of an inch of rain. that is where we've seen most of the rain forth west. then as you work through the berkshires and the hudson river vale of new york between cities between 1-3 inches of beneficial rain. for the drought we're dry. tomorrow and thursday, lots of sunshine. friday and saturday the chance does return but minimal chances of rain because i think they will just be a few isolated showers and the storms. until then, high pressure overnight tonight and for the next few days, tomorrow is an awesome summer day. temperatures tomorrow in the 70s to around 80. little warmer on thursday and again on friday with high pressure nosing south of new england that. will boost temperatures to the middle and upper 80s but no 90s, here comes a cool front that. is where it is on friday. as it does sweep in it'll pop a few isolated showers, maybe a downpour if you are lucky.
