at boston latin school. the complaints dating back several years. >> anchor: that school's head master stepped down in june. outside of boston lastin with more details. >> reporter: this new report that came out today reveals it wasn't just merely a handful of isolated incidents at the school behind me. more than 100 claims of racial bias in the last 4 years. a investigated. comes after boston latin's top administrator resigned amid controversy of how the school handled racial incidents. biased based incidents at boston latin over the last few years. included the interviews of 134 staff, students and parents.

reports of racial bias at bls since 2012. of those 6 cases where administrators failed to take appropriate action. 4 cases where teachers failed to follow district policy. and 7 cases where students didn't follow policy. the head of the boston naacp believes this report is vindication. >> now what we're seeing is more incidents. there have been many more that it doesn't matter if it's one serious one or series of incidents that are not as egregious there's a problem at boston latin school. >> reporter: in the cases where the district's "policy was not followed disciplinary action and mandatory training for staff members. marty walsh releasing a

is unacceptable. we have implemented a reporting system that ensures every voice is heard. all students are in an environment where they feel safe to learn. this comes in the middle of summer when no students are at the school. the naacp says this is a step in the right direction. he says there's a long way to go. >> anchor: the mspca at a home where it is believed there are some 100 cats inside. crews responding to that scene in protective gear going into that home. those animals will most likely be taken to a shelter in jamaica plain. give you more information on

we are tracking a risk of showers and storms for saturday. talk about that in a few minutes. ; and beach goers on alert after a reported shark sighting. the sighting happened on the south shore of martha's vineyard. life guards hopped on suv's to warn swimmers about it. officials at the new england aquarium say the shark likely a smooth hammer head shark waters. >> anchor: state police say the suv was driving erratically. the driver refused to stop. crashed into a tractor trailer. the suv driver had to go to the hospital. the crash suspect under investigation. >> anchor: and a frightening crash in woburn. a pole through the wind shield of an suv stopping inches from the driver's face. investigators say that driver
