safety. this climb up the tower lasting several hours. >> anchor: very tense moment there is as we watched this play out live. get over to ryan schulteis for the latest. >> reporter: this crime started late this afternoon. little by little he made his way half way up the trump tower as police came in. >> they're grabbing him. >> reporter: a dramatic ending as police yanked this climber the fight to get him inside playing out hundreds of feet in the air. he used those suction cups and ropes to scale the tower moving at a slow pace. he appeared to be well prepared with a harness and climbing clips. he was able to zigzag around them. down below they inflated air bags in case he fell.

climbed up trump tower in new york city just using suction cups grabbed by police. the nippedtweeted that special operation officers taken him into custody. trump's campaign has not commented on this climber. >> anchor: now to a developing story out of walth ham. 2 people were violently stabbed at this one of the victims an elderly woman. >> anchor: police say that suspect is in custody. john cocoa with the breaking details. john. >> reporter: jadiann, this is an active scene. state police are using the canine unit. they've been inside this home here. the da's office says this attack was not random. state police carrying bags of evidence collected from this home collected on weston street

it's here 2 women were attacked. >> it's shocking. >> reporter: police responded to a double stabbing at 1:00 wednesday afternoon. >> i'm very sad. this is very sad. >> reporter: police found a 52 year old woman with multiple stab wounds and an 83 year old woman with a cut on her hand. the 52 year old is in critical condition. >> i know them as my neighbors. >> repr: and arrested and arrested byam police. we're told the victims and suspect know each other. >> it's my neighbor. i'm very afraid. >> reporter: those charges include armed assault with intent to murder. assault and battery with a deadly weapon. and assault and battery with a deadly weapon on a victim over 60.

new england mob boss locked up. cadillac frank cell emmy charged with murdering a federal witness. detectives tracking down the 82 year old all thanks to a tip. brandon gunnoe live outside the federal courthouse with more on what happened today. brandon. >> reporter: adam, the former mob boss was picked up in connecticut. charged with killing a witness a federal witness in the early 90s. frank cadillac cell emmy a former mob boss with ties to whitey bulger was charged in connection with the murder of a federal witness 20 years ago. >> this case will go to trial. >> reporter: after receiving a tip in june the fbi dug up the remains of steven desaro in providence. solemny is accused of killing the night club manager.

arrested because he had fled his prior residence. >> reporter: solemny's defense attorney said his client was not on the run. >> was he on the run? >> absolutely not. >> reporter: steven the rifleman flemmy an associate of whitey told the feds he saw what happened. >> he said on a particular day on a particular time he happened to be in the neighborhood and witnessed this crime. it's untrue and will go to trial. >> reporter: the victim's family was in speak. >> the desaro family has had more questions than answers. they're hoping at some point they will have questions answered and justice for steven. >> reporter: solemny 82 walked in looked at the prosecutor and said fred fancy seeing you here. what do think? >> mob humor.

over. team usa dominating several events while competing strong in others. joe amorosino in the olympic zone. >> reporter: team usa had a tall task coming off fiji over last nights win. despite a late lead and a valiant come back thanks to nate ebener turning on the jets for the score. they fell one point shy though. eliminated from medal contention. coming up empty. they did win their second match against brazil and will compete for ninth place tomorrow. u.s. men's swimming led by michael phelps. finished first in his heat in the 200 meter individual medley. getting the number 1 spot in the semis tonight.

win last night but had trouble with his cap during that relay. you see his panic when the swim cap ripped before the race. he and team would grab gold after teammate connor dierulent phelp's his cap. tonight they'll race in the individual medley semifinals. you can see is carr jennings and ross hit the beach. gold is on the line for the mens gymnastics individual all around. the united states remains strong. extending lead 28 total medals. china steady in the 2 spot with 20 total. third in hardware is japan with 17 over all. tune in tonight to see if the americans can keep it going.

emergency hearing with the restaurant. the chain failing a surprised inspection. prompted after a customer called inspectional services to report she got sick. >> they ate a spicy salad. their symptoms that they report they had were diarrhea and fatigue. >> reporter: sweet green has been inspected 3 time over the past few months. they found issues with washing, as well as cleaning maintenance and sanitation. >> who is going to be in charge to ensure these things do not happen again. >> reporter: as for the restaurant chain they released a statement saying in part we implemented a new structure and role with our operations. and to being better than ever. this restaurant is closed only temporarily. the city says that if they pass

if you have a concern about a restaurant you go to dial 311 and they'll check it out. >> anchor: there's more news today a man arrested and in court after a crime spree in worcester. 7's nick emmons live in worcester where that man faced a judge. >> reporter: the allegations are disturbing. today police described the terrifying moments the victims faced. >> your honor antonio camen before the court. >> reporter: ant ownio camen before the court. charged with rape, car jacking, armed robbery and several other crimes within 1 hour. >> everything is pointing toward this being a random crime spree. >> reporter: his random crime spree began tuesday night. >> grabbed her around the neck

>> reporter: assaulting her as he drove. >> during the drive he sexually assaulted her. after which point she was able to open the door and bail out of the moving vehicle. >> reporter: investigators say camen ditched the car. smashing through the door. a woman and several children locked themselves in a bathroom. they arrived to find camen inside and they had to tackle him to the ground. >> he made numerous threats towards one of which involved informing police he would shoot them with an assault rifle. it's very unusual for something like this to happen anywhere let alone in worcester. >> reporter: today we learned that camen has warrants in boston as well as in worcester. he was out on personal recognizance. the judge ordered he be ordered without bail pending a dangerousness here hearing.

worcester operated on the wrong patient and removed that patient's kidney. 7 news asked a spokesperson about the incident. dph responded with this statement. dph is aware of this incident and it's under review. a spokesperson would not confirm details of the incident. gave 7 news this statement. due to patient privacy laws we are unable to comment on cases. the staff at st. vincent is committed to high quality care to everyone we serve. so far we have not gotten a response. in the newsroom jennifer eagan 7 news. >> anchor: 7 weather with chief meteorologist jeremy reiner. >> reporter: we need to work our way out of the drought. close to 2 inches of rain. woburn 3 inches of rain.
