studying the images what is going on. >> reporter: we have a warm front that is draped along the warm front. we noticed showers, thunderstormsants downpours over the last couple of showers. there are two in particular we have been monitoring especially this one right here. coming out of connect now moving across southern worcester county. as of this moment there are no watches or warnings in effect but perhaps your eyes are drawn right away to how that, the warm colors here are bending around. we alluded to this last they interact with the thunderstorms sometimes they rotate the thunderstorms and we have seen some weak rotation in some of the thunderstorms now. what i've done here is switched over the colors to velocity so we're looking at the wind inside of the thunderstorms. and the green color is wind moving southeast then the warm color is wind moving northwest. so if you can visualize if i were to take the clicker then drop it right here it

rotation up in the thunderstorm at this time. again there are no watches or warnings for any tornadic activity in southern new england but the atmosphere is set up to produce some strong thunderstorms. some which may try to rotate. this is one we're watching for you right now. this is high 16 down. there is whitensville, northbridge, this moves northeast at about 25-30 miles an hour. elsewhere we've another complex of shower and downpour activity northwest this, too, has got the bending around of the warm colors. again i caution to say it's a hook echo because if it were it would be a slam dunk this is what we're dealing with in terms of a tornado but we don't have that. we're monitoring inside the thunderstorm. this showing signs of weak rotations, northwest of the city of worcester itself so this is what we are going to deal with throughout the afternoon. showers, downpours and the possibility of some severe thunderstorms which may

and today with that warm front slowly moving through southern new england, that is going to try to turn and twist some of the thunderstorms. elsewhere there is another line of shower and storm activity through pennsylvania this. is going to work up to new england later on around midnight tonight or shortly thereafter. we'll talk more about that in a few minutes. >> adam: breaking news in everett, police officer accused of being on the wrong side of the law. >> kim: investigators say he attacked miss details, dan. >> reporter: the everest police officer and his wife liv in nearby salisbury, that is where police say that the alleged domestic assault happened. 34-year-old michael maury is facing charges that include assault on a family member, assault on a family member and maury's seven month pregnant wife found out he

she was away. maury tried to kick her in the stomach and threatened to get his gun. the report has pictures of maury with maury's wife bruised and scratched. the couple has a 3 and a 6-year-old in addition to her being seven months pregnant. the everett police department declined to comment on the situation, dan hausle, 7 news. >> adam: also on 7 family and friends gather to say a time farewell to a woman killed out for vanessa marcotte's tune rail was -- tune rag has weld this community. >> reporter: a community comes together here in leominster this morning to remember a young woman who went out for a jog and never came home. >> i don't -- it's just heart-breaking, completely heart-breaking. vanessa marcotte. the jogger found murdered last week a half a mile from her mother's home here in princeton. >> very sad. anybody that has to go through this,s is' sad. >> reporter: with a heavy police presence the 2011 b.u. grad living in new york working for google was remembered for her beauty. her generous spirit and her loving heart. >> everyday of the week, every minute she shared love and that was really the hallmark of in attendance a bus load of co-workers from google. the pain is deep. even as police scramble to catch man who murdered here this day was about vanessa and the collective outpouring of support. >> god is with her. and everyone else is with her. >> reporter: vanessa march kolt was laid to rest in westminster late this

the defense says even though the prosecution has hundreds of witnesses, some of their stories have changed since hernandez was identified as a suspect. >> you don't want a witness' testimony to be tainted in any which. i'm certainly the state doesn't want that either so i think in the interest of justice everyone wants them to be able to describe what they saw and knew time. unfortunately those descriptions have changed. so we're going to be addressing that. >> reporter: hernandez is serving a life sentence for the murder of odin lloyd. jadiann thompson, 7 news. >> kim: patriots player nate ebner getting back to reality. he took a couple of weeks off to play on the u.s. men's rugby team in rio. here he is returning to the patriots practice field.

the olympic zone, we meet a run hoar is following his father's footsteps all wait to rio. >> ryan: we begin with a weather alert. we're tracking severe storms moving through the area. there is a thunderstorm warnings for are parts of worcester and middlesex counties. >> anchor: jeremy reiner is following the storm's track. >> reporter: here is the severe thunderstorm warning. again it's inside the polygan shape on the screen along the north of the city of worcester about to head into west central middlesex up along the 495 corridor. there is wachusett -- reservoir, lightning is going to be an issue as well as brief heavy rain. the thunderstorms have been displaying some rotation. meaning they have been

the vincity after warm front. so you have the green colors here. there is boylston. there is 110. lear is 62. that snakes through berle lynn as well as hudson. warm colors. there the green colors, great coloring up against the warm rote royt acing part. sometimes the severe thunderstorms go on to produce a tornado so. this is something we are monitoring for you. we don't have reports of a tornado. we don't even have a tornado warning but a severe thunderstorm warning for as well as west central middlesex. other showers, downpours and thunderstorms tied to the warm front. here is another storm up here in leominster that is trying to show a bit of a hook or a bend. there is no warning for that at this time but we'll watch this four and another area of shower and downpower activity moving in on metro boston. things will wind down late tomorrow and we'll talk more about this in a few. >> jadiann: prisoner of
