details. >> reporter: the eve ret officer and his -- everett fer and his wife life in nearby salisbury according to the court papers here. that is where the alleged assault happened. 34-year-old michael maury according to the paperwork is charged with assault on family member, assault on a pregnant victim and strangulation. according to the police report maury's 7 month pregnant wife found ought he had women at the house when she waswa the which have says maury tried to kick her in the stomach and threatened to get his gun. the report has pictures of maury's wife with bruises and scratches. the report also says that the couple has a 3-year-old and a 6-year-old in addition to her being seven month pregnant. we contacted everett p.d. they had no comment on the situation. everett police officer charged with domestic assault accused among other things of allegedly trying to kick his pregnant wife in the stomach. live in newburyport, dan

>> kim: also on 7 a salem woman arrested after confronting police about a dog. left in a hot car overthe weekend. now she is the one facing charges. ryan schulteis is here with more on her story. >> reporter: sunday evening a salem witch, animal rights activist laura found the dog outside a friend's business. the dog was in the car for 10-20 minutes and temperatures reached 90 degrees, she called police. the the car but the woman wouldn't get him leave. once the officers arrived they determined the dog was not in any danger saying that the dog had its head out a window. she saul call firefighters there to better assess the situation and they should arrest her. so they did arrest her. >> >> i asked them please call the fire department. they refused to. i asked for water. they refused to. i did give the dog, i tried

metro boston we've seen lighter showers, moving out of the city. skies are brightening here in town. south of town also a few isolated showers and the downpours jumping offer the south shore. most of us less than a quarter of an inch of rain. no reports again of any significant weather. the greatest concern i think for the remainder of the evening will be an ice slaighted shower or storm that pops with brief heavy rain because the air is loaded with moisture. maybe some storms that have a little bit of wind and we talked about this a lot this afternoon. been trying to rote ace the thunderstorms so there is a slight risk of a torn do in southern new england although with the warm front retreating north of boston heading up to maine that tornado risk will shift north up in through portions of central and northern new england. one more batch we'll watch four. it's this thunderstorm activity down here. back through pennsylvania but just looking at that over the last 15-20 minutes. it's showing signs of weakening so your storm

line coming out of pennsylvania if it holds together would show up probably sometime around 11:00 or later then move offshore after midnight tonight with one more batch up near albany, new york, but that looks like it fall ace part. there could be one more storm after midnight tonight. then i think everything winds down early tomorrow morning, it's from this weather system, again it has been the warm front that has been problematic four, that shifts north so it's still a muggy humid evening. then the cold front will zip through after tonight. shoving this mugginess out to sea. the dew points are unreal. they jumped to the 70's norwood 75. boston dew point of 73. air temperatures 70s to around 80 in the city. bedford 78. tonight again evening storm possible. isolated. not wide spread. one or two maybe locally strong, humid, 70-75. tomorrow, once we can get the humidity out we'll start with clouds tomorrow morning then developing sunshine.
