live in rio with the latest. >>reporter: this is a very strange turn of events here in rio. jack and gunner were pulled off their flight as they were about to head to the united states as police here in rio investigate their claims that they were robbed at gun point. now we're seeing new evidence and hearing from the swimmer who has already left, ryan lochte. their story called into question. now gold medallist, ryan lochte who claims he and teammates were robbed at gun point after a night of partying is on the defense. >>man: i said ryan, there are people out here, there are skepticism that you made this story up, along with these other swimmers to cover up some other form of embarrassing behavior. he stopped me quickly, he strongly denied that, said it's absolutely not the case, i wouldn't make up a story like this, nor would the others. as a matter of fact, we all feel it makes us look bad. >>reporter: now police say they haven't found evidence to

a brazilian judge found contradictions in the swimmers' reports. tonight, lochte told the today show host that authorities never seemed to question his account. >>man: he said never during the questioning did they question his truthfulness. as a matter of fact, they supported everything he said. they said thank you and they congratulated him on his performance here it he games. >>reporter: in security video obtained by the daily mail although, you see the swimmers the morning after they said they were held up. the judge, cited this video ordering them to be seized. the judge says the men appeared to be joking and didn't seem to be shaken physically or psyche logially. lochte is already back in the states. his story has changed. >>man: now, when he talked to billy bush, you'll remember on sunday, bob, he said that's when
