chipotle. her male passenger stayed at the scene for hours not wanting to talk to 7 news. >> very scary. very frightening. >> reporter: police say that three pedestrians were taken to local hospitals with nonlife threatening injuries. the driver we have learned she has been detained but it's not clear if she faces any charges. live in downtown boston, amaca ubaka7 news. >> adam: fire crews out of hyde park battling a large fi you can see smoke and flames pouring from the roof of the building. three firefighters had to be taken to the hospital. john cuoco is live on the scene for us today at 6:00. >> reporter: right now fire crews are still onscene. they're dealing with hot spots inside this apartment. the deputy fire chief says that that was a labor intensive fire. most of the damages is to the upper levels.

dan hausle is live with more details fours, it's newton south. >> reporter: the boy goes to high school here, he is in his junior year. his father lives in alaska as he was rushing to florida. he tell meets he has no idea but he think it is may have been mental health issues involved. a family vacation in florida turns tragic when a newton south high school student stabbed his mother and younger brother. back in framingham are reeling. >> everybody is totally shocked. nobody can comprehend it remit the mother called to report the stabbing and they got another call that gust ramgren was outside the house pleading for help for his mom and younger brother. investigators say the teen confessed to stabbing both of them. according to the police report gust's younger brother state tad he thought he was going to die and asked why his brother would do this.

ruen rhine has the story. >> reporter: police say the swimmers were not robbed sunday night and they vandalized a gas station bathroom. video shows lochte and his three teammates at the gas station. police say security guards approached after they trashed a bothroom and pointed guns at them. two of the swimmers and conger and gunner bentz. police say the men gave money to the o allowed to go back to the village sunday night. lochte is back here in the u.s. and hasn't responded to these new police statements. last night he stood by his story telling nbc news he won't lie about being robbed. the three swimmers remaining in rio are cooperating with police. ryan schulteis, 7 news. >> jadiann: also a man in braintree accused of trying to crab and go with a 13-month-old boy. the alleged attempted abduction caught on camera.

braintree to explain how this unfolded. tim? >> reporter: that couple was inside the store behind me. they took their eyes off their toddler for a moment. when they turned back around a shirtless stranger grabbed their son and was making a beeline to the back door. it happened in a matter ever seconds. a shirtless man breaks in the front of the store and almost immediately snatches a 13-month-old boy. >> i was at the register and he came in. took about four steps in and he was -- he had already gotten the kid. >> reporter: the man is 47-year-old steven o'bryan slings the toddler and heads for the back door. the father who was only a few feet away followed the man and confronted o'brian saying that is my baby. o'brian handed over the boy and hustled out the back door. the father went up to the store owner. >> when the father came up he asked me if i had an
