drifting under the water. they pulled him out. that's when they called police, several crews responded as we saw. they say the boy was semi conscious and breathing when they arrived. they flew the boy to children's hospital in boston by helicopter. we're working to get more information and will have much more coming up at 5:00, i'm adam williams, 7 news. >> jadiann: also here on 7 a copter crash under investigation. options trying to figure out why this ashland reservoir. the pilot made a great escape and says his experience prepared him for the worst case scenario. amaca reports. >> reporter: crews pulling an ultralight helicopter out of the reservoir in ashland state park. the pilot david dianne of hopkinton says he had an engine problem. >> there was no place to go so i wanted to get over the

could drop it. >> reporter: despite falling from 1500 feet he wasn't hurt. he was able to unbuckle and ditch the $45,000,000 in the water. >> if there was a field i would have been fine. >> somebody was able to bring him out and bring him to story. >> reporter: police say he took off from marlborough before the crash. the aircraft was carrying less than 5 gallons of fuel so there is no risk to the environment. >> found out almost immediately that he was sole occupy apt of the aircraft. it gives you a glimpse of what flying an ultralight is like. dianna practices for this situation all the time. >> you are always flying around looking for places where if you have a problem you know how to put it down. >> reporter: that helicopter has been taken away. the pilot is safe. and was not hurt. amac awe, 7 news. >> ryan: an owl is on the mend after hitting a green

the operator took the dazed owl off the track to a bench and called for help. when no agency would help tufts school said they could assist but couldn't pick up the animal. an inspector drove the owl to the facility when his shift was over. the foxboro helmet heist has been solved. the autographed patriots helmet has been returned. video showed a man stealing the helmet be on how long 11. the man returned along with this note that said sorry for the trouble. he also included $70 to cover the unpaid tab. police say they cannot identify the suspect blind the anti-semitic vandals, police discovered vandalism and it was on a broken window there. they hope whoever do it does some forward. >> jadiann: newspaper box blown to bits.
