brandon gunnoe, 7 news. >> jadiann: breaking news out of mississippi, police in jackson say two nuns including one with ties to massachusetts have been found dead in their home. officers say there were signs of a break in. one of the nuns moved from massachusetts to mississippi back in 1981 to work as a nurse in poor areas. as we get new information we'll update you. >> adam: a teenager shot right now, 18-year-old deshea mazeri is fighting for her life in critical condition. no arrests have been made but police are investigating. the teen's aunt saying chefs' caught in the cross fire of a dispute between other people who started shooting. a dog was also hurt in the shooting. officers rushed it to the vet and paid for its treatment with their own

the story you will see on just one station. >> reporter: we just spoke with one of the officers who uses his own money to pay for the dog's treatment. it was the right thing to do and he believes this dog took a bullet for his owner. >> very fast. >> reporter: at around 1:00 am thursday shots rang in and out this dorchester neighborhood along mcclellan street. it's here rickey and his dog felon were out for a walk before finding themselves in the cross fire. >> as soon as i turned the shots and i duck. my dog bolted. >> reporter: weeks found his dog, he noticed it had been hit in the left leg. he found police. officers was nice enough to bring me to the hospital. and, you know, help me out with the dog. >> reporter: the price tag was high and weeks couldn't afford it so the two officers and the sargent stepped up again deciding to split the costs and pay

human response to help them out with their family. dogs are family. >> for all the bad rap they've been getting, you know that was a good gesture. >> reporter: the bill reached $2500 and it could continue to go up. >> that dog took a bullet for his owner. >> i thanked them. you know, what else can i say? >> reporter: it is an act of kindness weeks never expect and will never forget. >> i like to thank them. i appreciate it and felon appreciated it, too. felon is still in the hospital and is stable. live at boston police headquarters, john cuoco, 7 news. >> adam: problem property goes up in flames in lawrence. the blaze spread to nearby buildings, six structures suffered damage. more than two dozen people had to be driven out of their homes. >> jadiann: steve coop ser live for news lawrence with details. >> reporter: the flames are out tonight but as you look, you can see firefighters are still on the scene.

a pilot of charred debris now. >> failure of the property owner to maintain, secure the property has now involved basically the entire neighborhood. >> reporter: late today the judge ordered the property owner to have what is left of his building torn down within the next seven days. as for a cause of the fire, right now investigators will only say they're looking at everything right now. live in lawrence tonight, steve cooper, 7 news. >> jadiann: a pleading guilty for his role of a violent arrest at the end of a police chase. he apologized in court but not to his victim. he said sorry to his co-workers and people of new hampshire. sky 7 caught the beating on camera. the takedown ended a chase that went from holden, massachusetts, all the way into nashua, new hampshire. monaco will not serve jail time but he will never be able to be a police officer again. the man arrested in the chase is blind bars. -- blind bars.

a school bus crash turns deadly. the passenger in a car that collided with the bus yesterday in mendon has died. the driver of the car still in the hospital. no children were on the bus. or i'm sorry on the -- no children on the bus were hurt. >> adam: knife attack in new bedford wends a teenager attend two people charged. louis rafael klaas appeared in court today. byron barnett brings us more. >> reporter: the vick morales of new bedford. family, friends and neighbors are devastated by his deaths it's not exactly clear what led up to this incident. but both of the suspects were already known to police distraught friends and neighbors gathered at a memorial for a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in new bedford wednesday evening. 21-year-old louis rafael

after the fact and assault and battery. a 16-year-old boy was also charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon. police say the victim tried to run home but collapse and died before he got there. >> why you take this little 15-year-old baby. he is a baby. he didn't get a chance to experience life. >> that is the type of kid he was. he was just a very outgoing kid. big hearted. >> reporter: police say there was a big fight. a 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man were also stabbed but expected to be members of a gang from a different housing project. residents at temple landing say those gang members are the ones who bring the trouble. >> we do our thing. we don't get into no trouble. it's them south end people that want to start the problem with us. >> reporter: both suspects are being held without bail. police say more arrests are possible. they say the charges could be upgraded to murder. byron barnett, 7 news.

sand bar in the middle of the reservoir right up to the air. it takes a powerful helicopter to pull off something like this. as for the plane, the 42-year-old pilot was heading from newport, rhode island to vermont when he says the plane started having mechanical issues. he was forced to land on the sand barr in the middle of almost 39 square miles of water. a landing that the pilot says was no easy fete. >> once i touched down i sank into the soft advantaged inches with the helicopter skids so it was a soft so he was lucky that he was able to roll it and gets it slowed down enough before he sank into otherwise he would have flipped it over. >> ryan: once the plane was hooked up it was a quick flight about 15 minutes back to the orange airport. ryan schulteis, 7 news. >> jadiann: next -- >> reporter: a chance for rain but the weekends is looking great.

police have announced that they will charge the swimmer ryan lochte. keep the words moving here so i can give you the information here. he and three of his team mates are accused of vandalizing a gas station bathroom then lying. officials fined the other swimmers in rio but lochte was back in the united states. now he is being called to appear in a brazian court. >> announcer: now time for 7 sports with alex corddry. >> reporter: benintendi may only have 21 games under his belt so -- but the rookie -- benintendi was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a spreed left knee.
