now, seven weather with meteorologist bri eggers. >> summer like weather to start the week, but fall is not far of from us, and you probably have noticed up by the dwindling daylight hours. we do have a chance for a showe, possibly a storm wednesday night into thursday. it's just not looking like it will be a drought buster for us, not even a washout expected. we'lal detail. but for today still feeling more like summer. we made it up to 90 in boston. even though the map doesn't reflect up. plymouth, new bedford, 82 in worcester. certainly a summery feel. didn't you say something about a cold front rolling through? there it is. you can see it drawing up line there. it's cleared the coast. we typically see sometimes up te cold air has a hard time settlig
6:18 pm
that was the case today. you can see it's not far off frm us. the high in burlington, vermont today, a little cooler today. overnight it will be cooler andi think you'll notice because of the drier air mass that that cod front did make its way through last night. current temperatures still quite warm, 85 in boston, 84 in norwood, 78 in worcester, a very comfortable evening ahead of us, but there is a breeze out there out of the north, northwest, 10 to even 20 mile-per-hour sustained winds and that's helping to bring for us. look at where these dewpoints are. it was a muggy start to the day. it's a dry finish with dewpoints in the 50s. a manageable amount of humidity, and because those dewpoints are so low, our temperatures will be able to fall overnight tonight into the mid 50s in some of those cooler spots. very comfortable for sleeping into tomorrow. coolest along the coastline, but still into the 80s we go under plenty of sunshine. so, yes, i've seen it a lot on social media. we don't need the nice weather.
6:19 pm
do you know someplace we can purchase some? we're dry again tomorrow into wednesday and thursday. it looks to be our best shot, bt it is kind of a similar story where we have a cold front comig through and we're hoping up this cold front can actually produce those showers and storms, but like last night's front there'sa possibility it may not. however, this is what's in the forecast for right now. wednesday night, the possibility of an isolated storm, and then into thursday we could have some showers up linger. this is wte tropical depression 8 that's ner the carolinas for now, and up front keeps it away from us. now, up front also ushers in a fall like feel to our forecast, so some cooler temperatures are in store for us at the end of te week. it might even be a shock to the system, so different from today and even wednesday where we're expected to hit 90 once again. into the 70s we go friday into the weekend.
6:20 pm
