>> now at 7 an arsenal of weapons uncovered in holiston the homeowner accused of making disturbing threats. >> anchor: a crane gives way in rhode island. >> reporter: a hot summer like day for us again. as september arrives so does a fall like pants down. that's what police say landed an uber in court. >> anchor: and a man atee on the cape. >> anchor: a strange sighting. >> anchor: where and when this creature was spotted. >> anchor: first at 7 workers dangling and in danger. that bucket suspended high above the water creating a scary situation. >> anchor: only imagine there. rescue teams jumping in action

more details for us here at 7:00. tim. >> reporter: adam, kim you imagine how scary it was for 2 workers inside that bucket. we're standing underneath the bridge where that truck was dangling over the side. at least the crane part. 65 feet to the water below. those 2 employees stuck there had to get rescued. this crew which was a private contractor working for the under side of the bridge when something went wrong. the truck leaned over on 2 wheels those 2 men were left dangling in a bucket at the end of that crane underneath the side of this bridge. they were wearing safety gear at the time. another truck had to be brought in to rescue them from that initial crane. it took crews a couple hours to get them removed from that area.

connects ports mouth and tibberton. a lot of traffic here early this afternoon as they shut down one of the lanes as they were trying to make this rescue. those 2 employees were taken to the hospital not with serious injuries mostly to get checked out. tim caputo 7 news. >> anchor: following a developing story out of wellington where fire crews are battling a brush fire. there's crews on the ground checking for hot spots and soaking the soil. we'll continue to monitor the situation and bring you the latest details as we get them. >> anchor: a holiston man accused of making threatening messages and stock piling an arsenal of weapons inside his home. >> the fbi says his series of threats is what's really raising red flags. more now from 7's jonathan hall.

and displays an upside down american flag at his home. appeared in court handcuffed and in chains. facing serious charges now. he denies them. >> i've known mr. garbagulo for 12 years. this is not something he would do. >> reporter: fbi agent writes a raid of his home revealed ammunition parts to an ar to make bombs. and wished he had assassinated president obama while he was playing golf on the vineyard. according to the complaint a source quoted him as saying he would like to plant bombs in police stations and kill homeland security officers as he can before they can him. >> is drug use a part of mental

though it remains a hurricane for days heading to the northeast. 500 miles away from bermuda at this time at this point. it could increase the swells and waves. as we get through the next couple few days. we're tracking tropical depression 8 and also tropical depression 9. we start off the coast of the northeast after it strengthens into a tropical storm probably tomorrow. and then be named. before that likely before that we'll see tropical depression 9 strengthen into a tropical storm and track to the northeast. this poses more threat to land. it could be prolific rain even wind damage expected. more on this and your forecast to come in a bit.

this 28-year-old uber driver pulled up to a number of women with his pants down. steve cooper explains the disturbing allegations. >> reporter: did you admit to doing this? what do you want to say about the charges mr. grivon. a handcuffed and shackled uber driver. and paul grivon had nothing to say outside of court. >> can you hear what is going on? >> yes. >> reporter: hiding behind a wall pleading not guilty to his minivan yesterday afternoon with his pants down exposing himself to women in the area and earlier this summer in malden. >> i have children. i wouldn't want my son to run into something like that. >> reporter: one victim managed to take down his license plate. and quickly notified police who after a brief chase arrested

himself in front of girls on the street. >> reporter: even though griven wasn't driving a fair at the time of the alleged acts he was suspended. griven was arrested in boston in 2015 on similar charges and that case has yet to be resolved. late today the mayor of everett fired off a letter to the ceo of uber involving 2 cases involving drivers this month. the mayor wants answers over the >> he admitted he has a problem in what he's doing. >> that's what he told police. >> reporter: we're told by the time he returns to court next month he could be facing additional charges here. steve cooper 7 news. >> anchor: police say officer michael moore strangled his pregnant wife and kicked her in the stomach at their home this month. the veteran was suspended

his wife will not be testifying against him. a nashua new hampshire mother found guilty of beating her baby to death. investigators say caitlyn marin beat her daughter to death in 2014. the 27-year-old appeared in court today where prosecutors revealed what led to that crime. >> several witnesses testified that the defendant did not want her daughter before she was born. she treated her poorly from that point on calling her stupid. >> anchor: she was beaten over the course of several days. that mother facing second degree murder and manslaughter charges. ; there is more news today a man in rock port accused of targeting and attacking a woman with disabilities. byron barnett has more on what police say was eye violent encounter. >> le perez castro charged with

assault and battery on a disabled person. attacked a woman out for a walk on this road in rock port last week in front of mill ard rings house. >> sounded like a woman screaming loud. >> reporter: ring a rock port emt ran to help the woman said to be in her 50s. >> she said she was knocked to the ground and someone was basically seemed like they were trying to rip off her clothes. after she started screaming >> it was her feeling based upon his actions that he was attempting to remove her underwear and attempting to rape her. >> she was distraught and shaken up over the ordeal. >> reporter: surveillance video shows castro stalking the woman. >> the video shows the victim toward pools lane with the suspect following her path from a distance as though trying to not to be discovered.

curious. he said he did not intend to have sex with her. >> reporter: they say he's innocent. >> he's a good kid. i don't believe he's guilty. >> you don't believe he did this? >> i don't believe he did that. he spoke to me sometimes. he's a good man. >> reporter: castro's family members say they're originally from central america. the department of homeland security asked the court to detain him. they say he entered the country illegally. until this incident castro committed no crimes. in rock port byron barnett 7 news. >> anchor: a dangerous turn landing a rookie duck boat driver in trouble. he drove the duck boat on sturo drive. he ripped off the ladder and roof of that vehicle and the fire department came in to get passengers off the duck boat. nobody was hurt.

there was a ceremony at the state house. explaining what happened. a first year driver was diverted off the tour route. and the driver's actions although not intentional will be under review by company safety experts who will conduct a thourough analysis of this event. >> anchor: a boston university student was in court today. pleaded not guilty to charges of motor vehicle gathering mourning together. they were so upset. the driver was drunk drove into trees killing one passenger and injuring another. a vigil was held sunday for the victim. aj robins seen in this photo. students and community members gathered on a high school football field to remember their friend and classmate. >> anchor: fire fighters in south bridge feeling burned out this evening after 2 separate

other. the first one broke out on central street. then hours later crews face today a bigger onop main street. more than a dozen people are without a place to live tonight. a fire fighter was sent to the hospital suffering smoke inhalation. >> i lost everything in there. >> when they came in and told me i had to get out there was a fire in the alley. >> anchor: investigators are lookin be to blame. red cross is helping those families displace. >> reporter: these people are protesting the construction of a gas pipe line saying it's not safe in the residential area. the company putting in the pipe line says it meets all safety regulations. 2 people parked cars in the construction zone. and they chained themselves by their necks to those cars all for the cause.

i had to bring down some of these bars to make that hit there. i think into september. but as i mentioned before it's a preview of fall that's on the way for us. very warm today despite that cold front that moved through throughout the day. that did usher in dryer air for us. not the best news. we couldn't squeeze out rain drops from that front. sitting at 3.92 inches. driest summer on record unless we can squeeze in drops in boston before the calendar ticks over to september first. it's looking more likely if we get any rain it will be on the first of september rather than the end of august. looking at the timeline here it's another front that squeezes through the area. it may stall out long enough to give us rain fall. not looking promising that this is a lot of rain.

us. this front is pushing any tropical storm out to sea if this is a tropical storm. this is what the forecast model is picking up at tropical depression 8. that's not in the forecast for us. not in the cards to get significant rain. i did mention that that front isushering in a preview of fall. the temperatures dropping for the end of this weekend to start labor day weekend. not right now still in the upper 70s near 80. 78 in plymouth and our air is dryer than where we started this morning. it was a muggy start to the day. dew points in the low to mid 50s. that will allow for our temperatures to fall back overnight. mid 50s to mid 60s. tomorrow a summer stunner in store for us. mostly sunny skies. coolest along the coastline. maybe you want to head to the beach.
