of brown's california home for hours while brown initially refused to speak with officers. these are live pictures, officers were called to his house early this morning when they got a call from a woman saying brown pointed a gun at they are then threatiered her. police say everyone is being cooperative with officers after brown posted several videos ranting about police being at his home. this is not the singer's first run in with the law. back in 2009 he pleaded guilty to police aren't saying what happened last night until they interviewed everyone in the home. >> our didn't will conduct a protective sweep of the residence. once all the occupants are removed from the residence they will be interviewed by detectives to try to ascertain their statements as to what occurred early this morning. >> ryan: police say at this point, no arrests have been made. ryan schulteis, 7 news. >> kim: the islamic state

and that frustrated me along because he definitely did do it knowingly. >> reporter: prout left st. pauls and her family filed a civil lawsuit. >> fortunately, it seems like the school's reputation became more important rather than supporting our dare. >> reporter: st. paul's released a statement saying: now prout is speaking out in hopes of giving others the courage to do the same. >> i can't imagine how scary it is for other people to have to do this alone, and i don't want anybody else to be alone anymore. i don't. >> reporter: the prout family saws its lawsuit against the school is about insuring what happened to their daughter does not happen to another student

>> kim: 7 news turning to the tropics, we're tracking a major hurricane with its eye on the big island of hawaii. residents there remain under a hurricane watch as mad lion moves closer. closer to home. a massive tropical depression has turned north in the atlantic "shand and is headed to the north carolina outer banks. winds and rain are expected to increase as the storm moves in closer. there are a lot of storms out there. we're watching at least bri eggers is track the tropics. >> reporter: that didn't look like a very pleasant beach day along the coast of north carolina that is where t.d.8 is. we'll start with that because you can see it not really getting its organization together. that is the issue. still a tropical depression but it could strengthen into a tropical storm. it's expected to by the time we hit tomorrow afternoon. as you can see that track well to the northeast. we're not included in this cone of uncertainty. a lot of people think it'll

that is an area of where the track could end up. we take a look at hurricane gaston a category 2 storm has strength in the winds, 110, no threat to land. we're not expecting this to have a direct impact. however, both of those things turning up the ocean making for rough surf, that is even the case here in new england. so something to keep an eye out for. moderate risk for rip currents if you head through the next few days. a lot of eyes on tropical depres 9 strengthen into a tropical storm early tomorrow morning. you see this cone of uncertainty, getting a little closer to home. we'll talk about this in more detail in my excontinueded forecast. >> adam: for now go to the patriots and tom brady sitting out son getting ready -- soon getting saidy to serve his four-game suspension. today brady addressed the media for likely the last time before this happens. he had nice words for his

crash that happened. there the barriers are up in west newton square in front of buildings at the intersection where the crash happened. police say the driver went straight through the intersection without stopping. two people were killed an seven others were hurt. the city health discussions to discuss the problem intersection, it's not known if any charges will be filed against the driver. the district attorney's office confirmed that the 3-year-old died after a drowning in lowell. the girl has been released from the hospital and the investigation is still ongoing. >> kim: we're following more news today. the governor of maine, paul lepage offering an apology to the state representative he targeted in an expletive filled voice mail. the governor said he wants

a dramatic scene in central new york, cars on a crash course in binghamton. the moment of impact reported an a darb camera. >> kim: good samaritans rushing in as one of the cars burst into flames, kris anderson shows us what happened. >> reporter: scary moments caught on camera when an 18-wheeler plows into a line of vehicles on this highway in binghamton, new york. a 10-car pile up and one of the cars catches fire.

a group of bystanders get out of their vehicles an rush over to try to help the woman trapped in the burning car. they work to put out flames while getting the woman to safety. she only suffered minor cuts and bruises. binghamton's mayor released this video because he is hoping to identify the heroes who rushed over to save the stranger's life. he wants to recognize them for their efforts. 10 people were taken to the hospital. two of them in serious condition but everyone survived. police say and that caused this accident. the driver of the semi was cited for operating an out of service vehicle. kris anderson, 7 news. >> adam: next on 7 setting them up in style. the red sox getting some students ready for start of the new school year. >> reporter: back to school for a lot of people. we look ahead to labor day weekend but with all eyes on the tropics will it have anything to do with our forecast? all the details next.

change. >> kim: it's funny because we look at how gorgeous it is for us and we talk about you will a the storms. they don't have names. a lot of numbers. you are keeping track, 8, 9. >> reporter: a whole lot of them. invest invest 99 l. that is still tropical depression 9. we don't have any tropical storms just yet but expecting d.9 to strengthen into a tropical storm into early tomorrow. gaston and t.d.8 are churning up the waters enough to make for new england. if you are headed to the beach within the next couple, few days something to keep in mind. wave are feisty. i saw beautiful pictures but best to enjoy the beach maybe from the warm sand. clouds increase in the afternoon. a warm one. look at the wave heights. 3-6 foot waves. something to remember. highs tomorrow, close to 90. can't rule it out for a couple of spots to hit that mark. now we take it down to the

at this because we have an updated forecast track from the national hurricane center expected to strengthen into a tropical storm as we head into the overnight hours of tomorrow but look what happened at this most recent update. this does include parts of new england. in this cone of uncertainty but please remember this is not a swath of area that this potential storm will actually affect. but rather this is where the track could actually wobble?arof more uncertainty there is. we cabot let our guards down because we're climbing into that peak of hurricane season. which, which doesn't end until the end of november. a lot to talk about. back to the here and now as we head through the next couple of days. high pressure is sliding farther to the east. we have a front that's going to swing through overnight wednesday into early thursday to bring us our next chance of rainfall. i have 30% chance here.

scattered in nature. maybe some localized areas taking advantage of a down pour or two. we could tap into some of the tropical moisture that is what is t.d.8 but this front is pushing the bulk of the system out to sea. we've cooler temperatures blind that front -- behind that front. fall-like preview into the end of the weekend. these numbers having up from the last forecast model run but a a half inch. maybe an inch or more not out of the question for a few towns. but you have one that gets it and then the next town over gets hardly anything. that is the nature of this. partly cloudy overnight. humidity creeping up. patchy fog,mild temperatures, tomorrow another warm one. we will see the clouds increase in the afternoon but take a look at my 7 on 7 forecast. past saturday not a lot of
