tracie potts joins us live from washington. where does the zika fight go from here? >> reporter: at this point they are trying to figure out if they can get something done by september 30th. keeping in mind that's also the deadline to prevent a government shutdown and they're going to try to attach some legislation to that. it's a $1.1 billion deal that they're trying to get done here and what's stopping them are democrats who don't want to see money pulled from planned parenthood. top democrat reid called that language strange, weird stuff when he was speaking about it before this vote failed. so they've been unable to move it forward to let this go without throwing some money at it, even republicans are saying is grossly irresponsible and so while it looks like congress has the will to get something done, to send money especially to states like florida, right now they just haven't figured out how. most of that money would be pulled from other sources.

there were people clinging to it. the whole thing was caught on camera. >> sarah: for more on your forecast, let's send it over the chris lambert with what we can expect the rest of the week. >> chris: sarah, a little on the muggier side, the warmer side, as well. temperatures running mid-60s to near 70 degrees. the wind is on shore, but we've rotated in some muggy and tropical-like feel to the air coming in from around hermine. the dew points have jumped up now into the 60s. it's going to stick around for the next few days. it's pretty widespread, not only in southern new england but off to the west of us where the warmth and the humidity continues to build. we're in it. summer is not over yet. a couple of spot showers outside this morning, a couple sprinkles close to boston, steadier showers, light showers back into auburn, also over to hopkinton at this time. once in a while throughout the day, occasional passing shower, but they're going to be spotty.
