his roommates. the man videotaped several naked women in 2 separate somerville apartments. one of those cameras was disguised as a plastic towel hook. the 32-year-old suspect is charged with 26 counts of secretly recording an unsuspecting nude person. he'll be back in court now next month. i'm jadiann thompson 7 news. >> anchor: 7 news focusing on temperatures soaring across the area today. what could we expect this evening as we take a live look over the zakum bridge. is it a scorcher relatively speaking. >> reporter: it's impressive. we did tie the record set last year. do we need anymore 90 degree days. we were in the midst of a heat wave. today if you're not a fan of the 90 degree temperatures.

monday. >> i'm happy the program is going to get going. >> reporter: boston police agreed to try out a limited number of body cameras for 6 months to see if it's something they'd expand to the department long term. when only 1 officer volunteered to wear the camera the voluntary program turned mandatory. filed suit saying officers forced to wear body cameras violates their contract. the commissionerwi authority to make officers wear cameras. >> this is a great moment for police accountability police transparency and for civil rights in boston. >> reporter: william evans say the delay was never about officers having something to hide. >> we work so hard. we have a good favoribility rating. i hated anything be impacted. to be painted that we have something to hide that bothered

high this week. >> i'm glad the girls were in a group. i think that's better. >> reporter: stun bide the crimes. stunned by his mug shot released by the state of new hampshire where mobely hall is a registered sex offender. >> oh, wow. it's awful. i feel for the girls. the school seems to be doing everything they can. the kids have to be vigilant. >> reporter: a judge in concord allowed him to stay from view. >> each of them stating that they were quote disgusted and shocked. that they had never seen him before. >> reporter: mobely hall exposed himself to 2 groups of girls under the age of 18 as they walked along this lincoln park fitness path. police say mobely hall admitted his crimes and told them he

choose who would see him. he's done time in new hampshire for sex offenders and has been quote going crazy lately with uncontrollable urges to expose himself to girls. >> bad things happen anywhere. >> reporter: mobely hall told them he chose the fitness trail because it was secluded and he could choose who would see him. >> anchor: a brain tree prep school official facing steven bliss listed at the head of cats academy on the school's website. this week police arrested the 46-year-old charged him with offering an undercover police officer for sex. he is accused of agreeing to meet with an undercover officer for a prostitution deal. he is charged with human trafficking and offering to engage in sex for a fee.

>> this is crazy. and he's out on bail. imagine being in ninth grade. a scared little girl. what -- you know what's going to happen. he's in braintree now. get him out. >> anchor: no one at the prep school would comment on the charges against bliss. he served as a superintendent in 2 other massachusetts school districts. ; a dorchester man convicted of killing a boston police another trial. e lis was convicted of first degree murder and spent 22 years behind bars. but he's been out on bail since 2015. >> extremely grateful to judge carol ball for the decision that she made. and i am equally thankful and grateful to the massachusetts supreme judicial court.

lynn and working full time. >> anchor: a new person arrested after a violent attack at a new hampshire convenience store. this is their man jason crawford. crawford faces charges of assault robbery and resisting arrest. a clerk was severely beaten. but he is expected to be okay. charges against the man arrested yesterday now dropped. >> anchor: caught on camera a group of bike theifs seen in this video. the group breaks the lock and takes off with the bike. take a look at this a car smashing through a fence and sign at a mendin drive through theater there. someone hit the fences and then just sped off. the outdoor movie theater was closed at the time. police are looking at surveillance video to see whether or not the damage was

the drought monitor updated yesterday every thursday. the extreme drought that bright red expanding. the drought deepens. dry through this evening and overnight hours. we are getting this moving in for us for this weekend. it's a couple of shots at showers here and there moving through the weekend because of a series of fronts that are working through. we'll break it down for you. here comes that first front that moved the south coast early tomorrow morning. we get a chance of spot showers. isolated at best. maybe another isolated shower. one area picks up on it. another area doesn't. then we see the sunshine tomorrow afternoon warming into the low 80s. another front makes its way through overnight saturday into sunday. northern new england the best

just a chance for an isolated shower. these fronts have not been very productive for us as far as rain fall goes. remember though this is not an 80% chance it won't rain. this is taking into account coverage area and how much rain we're expecting. rain fall by late sunday. 10th of an inch. quarter of an inch. a couple of spots pickin closer to half an inch. not a drought buster. not a wash out for the weekend. don't change or cancel your plans. by the time you have the umbrella popped it will be gone and done with. 78 in worcester. 85 norwood. we are in for a warm and muggy evening into the overnight hours. you see those dew points while it is an improvement from the
