so when pats take the field in arizona only one place to see it. that's right here on 7. we'll get you are the is aed with 7 on the sidelines at 6:30. kick off is 8:30 and of course we'll have complete post game coverage following the game. >> anchor: breaking news out of ashland. the 18-year-old millford woman was hit by a car has been taken by helicopter to the hospital with serious injuries. this was the scene on pleasant street where police say a 24-year-old driver from ashland hit that woman. they don't think alcohol or speed was a factor in that crash. >> anchor: also from the night team a frightening find inside a somerville apartment. police say a man was secretly recording women for the past five years and some of the women were his roommates. kimberly bookman live in somerville tonight. >> anchor: kim, the da said this man was caught in 2015 and we talked to two neighbors who were there when police arrived. when i came home in the evening the detectives were upstairs and they were in the

evidence. these two women say they watched as their upstairs neighbor went to the police station after his female roommate accused him of hiding a camera in her bedroom. he had hidden a camera in one of the roommates bookcases that she heard an alarm go off in the morning. and that she found this camera. the middlesex county district attorney says police went in, searched and found multiple recording devices including a camera hidden in a bathroom hook. the people upstairs were pretty traumatized by what he had done. >> forensic search of his laptop unveiled dozens of videos of naked women, some in the bathroom, others engaged in sexual activity. everybody felt violated. >> anchor: in total, the investigation revealed 13 female victims from two separate apartments, some roommates, others house guests. and the videos go back as far as 2011. the people living in the summerville duplex say they immediately kicked the suspect out.

a possibility of an isolated shower or two. we'll have to run through that time line to come in a just a few minutes. >> anchor: boston police ready to record a judge. they toss the police union's bid to toss a body camera program. testimony tim caputo live in boston. >> reporter: mrs. boston police looking into trying out these body cameras for almost a full year now them had plenty of speed bumps along the way but with the judge's ruling today there are no more road blocks. boston police are ready to body cameras on monday after a judge ruled against the police union. this is a great moment for police accountability, police transparenty and really for civil rights. >> reporter: almost a year ago boston police agreed to try out a littled number of body cameras for a six month pilot program to see if it is something they would expand to the entire department long-term. groups pushing for the cameras think it will help build trust and keep officers honest. some tool that provides

is of the utmost importance. >> anchor: the police union told officers not to volunteer to where a body camera. after only one officer in the entire department signed up, commissioner william evans said the body camera try out will be mandatory. the patrolman's association filed suit saying the commissioner didn't have that authority but a suffolk superior court judge disagreed. the commissioner says the repeated delays and court battle were never about officers having something to hide. we work so hard. i think we have a good favorability rating an i anything negative being impacted and officers do a great job every day and to be painted that we have something to height that bothered me. >> anchor: police union president pat rose express pressed disappointment with the ruling but said in a statement "the bppa is still committed to working with the city to make sure the citizens of boston get a body worn camera pilot program that does what it is supposed to do while respecting rights of citizens and police officers alike. and with the judge's ruling just coming today you might be

a quick turn and to get cameras on the street by monday in the commissioner told me the 100 officers have already been chosen an all of them have already been trained. that's the latest live from boston police headquarters in roxbury, tim cap out oh, 7 news. >> anchor: a lawrence fire fighter who allegedly shot himself in the leg during an argument staying behind bars tonight. lieutenant joseph car bury was wheeled into court today with bandages around his leg. prosecutors argued he is a dinger to himself and others and he is denied bail. he faces several charge i'm dorchester man convict detective back in 1993 is getting a new trial. the supreme judicial court up holing a lower court ruling saying shaun ellis didn't get a fair trial. ellis was convicted of first-degree murder and spent 22 years behind bars. he has been free on bail since 2015. el cis now 41 years old. he lives in lynn and works full-time. prosecutors say they expect to retry this case p a blue battle brewing over these ribbons in the town of royalston. families of state troopers put them up to show support for

them to be taken down because there is a heated debate. brandon gunnoe in royalston with more. the small north central massachusetts town of royalston doesn't see a lot of controversy but in this community with a population of just more than 1,200, it seems a blue ribbon has done just that. well, under the understanding that we offended some people. you see the group ms p wise spouses of state troopers has been tying up blue ribs on all across the state to show support citizens didn't like the ribbons on town property so they were ordered to take them down. i am just disappointed that we're trying to do something good here and this is offending people? i don't quite get that. i support the police. i support the fire fighters and i support the paramedics. without them, what would our community be? we would have nothing. >> reporter: residents were offered to take blue ribbons to display at their own holes.
