>> christa: breaking news. police investigating a murder in methuen. fast woman found unresponsive, they are saying this does not appear to be random. let's get the breaking details now. steve cooper has more. >> reporter: the crime scene here in methuen being sealed off right now. you see the yellow police tape blocking the road. then beyond that, you see homicide detectives have gathered here. they have been here for hours now. they are waiting to execute a search warrant in a townhouse here where this all happened. but as you can imagine, at this hour, neighbors are

to this morning. >> it is very sad. i feel for the family. my heart goes out to them. >> reporter: with yellow police tape wrapped around the home here in methuen, shaken neighbors can only look on in disbelief after police say a woman in her late 20's was murdered overnight. >> i have met the girl a couple of times. but you know, just walking by, saying hi. it's very sad. it is too close to home. >> reporter: police were called to the townhouse sometime before 6:00 a.m. a well-being check and found the injured woman who was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. investigators sealed offer the crime scene for hours, leaving neighbors to wonder who did it. >> right now i don't know who did it. so i don't have anything to fear right now. >> reporter: the victim may have been strangled, sources say. neighbors tell us they used to see her playing outside all the time with her son. >> i know she had a little

i had seen a guy there before. i never really talked to them. >> reporter: police are looking for clues while neighbors are anxious for answers. >> it is very tragic. didn't have to happen. that's very sad. >> reporter: and again, another live look at the crime scene here along tutor street which remains shut down. more homicide detectives continue to arrive on the scene. they are hoping to get inside that apartment there shortly again. waiting to execute a search warrant. the district attorney investigation. they don't believe this is a random act of violence. but at this hour, there have been no arrests made in connection with this early-morning homicide. we are live in methuen this afternoon, steve cooper, 7 news. >> christa: breaking news in tennessee. four adults and six children in memphis were all killed after a fire broke out inside their home early this morning. right now, it is unclear exactly what time the fire started or if the home had a working smoke detector.

day weekend and stabbed her to death. neighbors say he then called the police on himself and waited at the end of the driveway for officers to arrive. two teens are facing a judge after police say they stabbed a livery driver in chelsea. this happened on congress avenue sunday night. investigators say the suspect stabbed the 57-year-old man in the neck with a box cutter. after they refused to pay him for giving them a ride. it is driver was seriously injured. >> christa: a health care for... scare for hillary clinton. the democratic nominee calling off a west coast trip after getting sick at the 9-11 memorial in new york city. so her cane announced that she has been diagnosed with pneumonia. more questions are being raced about her health in general. here is kris anderson with more. >> kris: understandably, a lot of concern. hillary clinton says she is feeling much better now. she is, however, temporarily off of the campaign trail and resting at home after she

>> sarah: more news today: a mosque in new hampshire asking police to investigate an incident they call a hate crime. the muslim civil rights group says someone threw rocks through windows at the mosque in nashua while people were worshipping inside. it happened sunday evening, the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. >> we understand 9-11. i'm a u.s. citizen. i'm as much devastated for that reason. but this is really, you know, ig nons norns. that is main thing that caused this to happen. >> sarah: right now police do not have any suspects. new details on a regatta that turned deadly over the weekend. it is not the first time there has been a fatality in the taunton race. the "globe" reports this is the second time someone has died during the bill giles memorial regatta. 39-year-old mark green died when he and two other men were racing their speed boats on watson pond this weekend. one lost control causing a

rescue boats were quick to respond and pulled all three drivers out of the water. >> christa: one hundred boston police officers will start wearing body cameras beginning today. this comes after a court battle and a judge's ruling late last week. when no one volunteered for the pilot program, the police collisioner... commissioner announced officers would be chosen to take part. >> sarah: chaos at an off-campus college party in connecticut down. 30 people are recovering. the whole thing happening not far from trinity college. kris anderson joining us now with more on this story. >> kris: very scary moments here. the good news is nobody was seriously injured. during that accident. it is a big relief for all the people who are there. three decks falling right on top of each other. it happened at that connecticut house party. >> we were getting reports that people scattered. and it was debris on top of

>> reporter: harrowing moments after three decks collapsed. one on top of the other at this college in hartford, connecticut. the third deck fell from there. students attending a house party tried to pull one another from the debris. cups with beer strewn everywhere. as all the people toppled from the weight. even people standing on the ground got hurt. >> i mean, those are heavy old decks that came down. at this point, the third floor, a o structurally not very sound. you get 60 kids out there. report tt collapse is reminiscent of the deadly collapse near uc-berkeley, california last june. six people were killed in that incident. in this case, mostly minor injuries. a broken arm, a concussion. investigators and the mayor say it is a miracle no one was killed in the accident. >> when i saw where the accident occurred, the thought that went through my mind is thank god this wasn't worse. and thank god no lives were

>> kris: very fortunate that no one was killed. the mayor is still working to figure out when that building was last inspected. kris anderson, 7 news. >> christa: police in colorado continuing to investigate after a deadly bus crash involving a high school football team in denver. investigators say the driver was killed when she slammed the bus into a concrete pillar. this happened at an airport on sunday. two people are now in critical condition. 15 others suffered minor injuries. but still no word on the exact cause of the crash. plane crashed near reno. that plane slamming into a number of cars. shortly after taking off sunday night. no one on the ground, though, was injured. and the cause there remains under investigation. >> sarah: caught on camera: fast junior college football player in california facing charges after he punched a referee. it happened during a game saturday. the ref stepped in to try break up a fight. but one player took a swing at him, knocking him to the

we get these low humidity air masses combined with the longer overhigh ins. you can cool down. we saw that this morning. many suburbs started off in the low to mid-40's. some of the coolest starts to the day we have had in the last few months. 68 now in boston. 74 in new bedford. 71 in beverly. there will be a cooling sea breeze at the coast through the afternoon. you can see that already in boston. at 12 miles an hour. although you work your way inland. and the wind is out of the northwest. at 6-8 miles per hour. there is the breakdown there. kn tremendous spread in temperatures. dew point trend going up the next few days. but still, even if you add ten degrees on to the dew points today for tomorrow, you are smack-dab in the comfortable category. then we will bump it up into the muggies there on wednesday. scenely late in the afternoon. and early in the evening. the bottom falls out once again on thursday. behind another cool front that will work on in.

for us, the next couple of days controlled by this area of high pressure that continues to build. over us. and eventually east of us. once it goes east, the wind changes back to the southwest. we will warm up close to 80, if not above it tomorrow. well into the 8's on wednesday. mid to maybe a few upper 8's out there. dry ground, sunshine. southwesterly winds. i think we can get there on wednesday afternoon. now, late in the day, we track this cool front. that cool front will give us the next opportunity of some scattered showers and storms. near day's end on wednesday. if not until wednesday evening. moderate pollen counts early to midweek. shaping up here. the forecast for today, continuing with that sunshine. and low humidity. with an east to southeasterly breeze. tonight, another cool night. low humidity. long overnight. clear skies. we have that. light winds as well. 46 in the cooler suburbs. 58-60 in boston. the forecast. you bump up to temperatures. only to knock them back down by the end of the week. a ton of sunshine on thursday,
