>> well, that is really scary. i mean, the number one priority, for sure, is to make sure the kids are safe. that is really crazy to hear. >> reporter: the man threat and mother as she was walking her four-year-old son to the front doors. the mom told officers she grabbed her child and crossed the street to avoid the man. when police arrived, they found the 36-year-old suspect still holding the nine-inch kitchen knife. his intentions unclear. but investigators say the man was heavily intoxicated. officers arebsed the suspect. >> that is amazing. yeah. it is good that... you know, because this is a bunch of crazy stuff that happens around here all the time. it is not the best area. you know, it is good to know that the police got ahold of him. report tt school's principal didn't want to talk on camera. administrators say they appreciate how officers handled the situation, saying "they promptly apprehended the suspect and made every effort to disarm the man in such a way so as not to alarm or

>> kris: now, oppong will be on the field for friday's game. he plans to, once again, kneel during the anthem. >> christa: more news now. fast man breaking down during his arraignment. he is facing murder charges for allegedly stabbing a woman to death. in danville, new hampshire. here you see him. richard moore. wiping away tears during his arraignment monday. police arrested him late friday night. they charged him with second-degree murder. police say moore killed the woman over the labor day weekend. and they allowed who is a registered sex offender to rent a room in her home in order to help pay the mortgage. >> kris: >> kris: a saugus mother will be spending four years behind bars after pleading guilty to raping two teenagers. she admitted to having sex with the two boys in 2014 and sharing nude photos with them. a judge sentenced the 40-year-old to three years probation. boston police are trying to solve a 40-year-old murder mystery that involves a teenage girl.

the cool overnights show their teeth here as temperatures dip down into the 40's. we had that the last couple of mornings in the suburbs. look at the afternoon. we are already back in the upper 70's to near 80 degrees. we will head to 82-84 across the area this afternoon. low humidity air mass. when off lot of sunshine and the southwesterly wind. you warm it up quickly during the day. we have certainly seen that throughout the afternoon. buffalo, new york, dew point, 58. 62 in d.c. not oppressive stuff. there is some more humidity off to the south of us. that will work on in. as we go through wednesday. not today, though. sunshine, low humidity. we will continue the theme of where we are early this afternoon. cold front west of us. that will move through with some scattered showers tomorrow. a couple of showers and storms that we do get will likely contain some gusty winds.
