devices in new york. >> terror take down. >> anchor: a tense man hunt comes to a wild end with a shoot out in broad daylight. >> anchor: 2 officers were injured in that gun fight. the fbi is looking for motive in the attacks in new york and new jersey. let's begin at the scene of the arrest with dan hausle in new jersey. dan. >> reporter: well the beginning of the end of the line was right here in a bar doorway. the bar owner telling me a few minutes ago how he found this guy in his doorway. he responded in a middle eastern accent. he talked to a friend who said they'd better call police. when police came the bullets flew. the most wanted man in new york wounded but taken alive after a

new jersey. it might have been the bombing suspect sleeping in his door way and called police. >> reporter: what happened when police came up to him. >> he talked to him 20 seconds. he went for his gun and took out his gun. and shot boom boom. >> reporter: one of the officers was hit saved by his kevular vest. a second struck by debris. a mad rahammy was return fire. >> there is no other individual we're looking for at this time. >> reporter: is the man behind the bombing in new york. his exact motive a mystery but methed ons clear. >> we have every reason to believe this was an act of terror. >> reporter: asking people all over the new york new jersey area to help find him. one man showed the surveillance

>> reporter: the biggest difference and perhaps the difference that could help tremendously in the investigation. they have a bomb. a pressure cooker that didn't explode. that could give key clues. the bombing in manhattan had an eerie similarity to the boston marathon bombings. >> i think with the initial reports about there being some type of improvised a street corner you think back to the marathon and all of the devastation that caused. this was new york city. a lot of people there. it could cause a great deal of injury and devastation. >> reporter: the colonel went on to add even with someone in custody this investigation is beginning. investigators will have to go

restaurant in march. 7 others were injured. >> one witness described the vehicle the defendant's vehicle as it accelerating with the engine revving at its highest rpm's. >> reporter: they know the 55-year-old resident has multiple sclerosis. the condition had nothing to do with the drive. >> an episode due to multiple sclerosis. >> first and foremost as we said in court this is a horrible horrible tragedy. >> reporter: relatives of the victim in the courtroom for today's arraignment weren't commenting on cessler's appearance and neither was he. his attorney suggesting the issue of his ms will play a role

there is a chance we could pick up on a shower or isolated down pour in the overnight hours. i'm saying there's a chance. not as likely as it was earlier today. through the timeline this forecast model over doing it there. cape cod and the islands through about midday tomorrow. we kick out the clouds as we get into tomorrow afternoon. the temperatures will respond to that sunshine tomorrow as well. very tonight 70, 71 degrees around. the dew points almost matching that number. patchy fog will be an issue tonight. as well as that chance of showers. it doesn't take much to get one of those showers going when you have a moist air mass like now. dew point trend unfortunately this is the thing that people complain about the most it doesn't improve until wednesday and thursday. much more comfortable air into
