seriously injured. >> anchor: duck tours says their driver is not to blame. >> reporter: the entire incident was caught on camera by a duck boat passenger. you see that woman walking off the curb and into the street. stepping directly into the duck boat's path. the woman looking straight ahead the entire time. approved a bill setting safety regulations for duck boats. the bill was filed following the death of a 28-year-old woman who boat riding her moped. we were doing our part but working the city. pedestrians have to do their part. stepping off the curb into traffic without looking and without warning puts everyone at risk. our passengers included. of course bring you the latest as soon as we get. jadiann thompson 7 news.

this impact so hard the suv ended up on its side debris scattered all over the place. several people were injured police put at least one person in handcuffs. byron barnett has the latest. >> reporter: witnesses say this suv came flying around the corner on mlk boulevard in roxbury. the police were on the scene quickly. they're not ready to call it a police chase. >> we're trying to determine whether >> reporter: but witnesses say it looked like a police chase to them. >> it was a police chase it looked like. came down and the officers behind him with the sirens o. he was picking up speed when he hit the curb right here. >> the officers had this car stopped in traffic on mlk boulevard. that time individuals in that stolen car took off and made the

>> reporter: one juvenile arrest in a hospital along with a woman in another car. >> he was in the white van rear ended by the suv. >> i feel lucky. anything could have happened. luckily nothing more. >> reporter: and many residents around here are unnerved by all this. the accident happened around 2:00 in the afternoon when this intersection was teeming with people n. roxbury byron barnett 7 news deadly crash as a woman is struck and killed. other cars were hit as well. police are continuing an investigation. kimberly bookman live in wilmington to bring us up to speed. kimberly. >> reporter: we understand that she worked at the cumberland farms across from the rite aid where this happened. now police say around 3:00 this afternoon the victim was

aid when a driver slammed into her. police say that driver a woman from wilmington barreled into the rite aid parking lot. one belonged to a rite aid pharmacist working inside at the time. the woman who was hit taken by ambulance to lay he hospital. accident reconstruction crews were on scene taking pictures and measurements. it's unclear control. >> the lady was walking on the cross walk over there. the car blew the red light. hit her and hit other 2 cars. >> there was a car accident last week too. we watched that too. >> reporter: people don't slow down? >> i guess so. i think they should have more direction or lights or something there. there's been a lot of car accidents lately. >> reporter: now the names of the people involved in this crash are not released at this

investigation. so far no charges have been filed. kimberly bookman 7 news. >> anchor: jury in boston found a 28-year-old man guilty of the murder of an army vet in 2012. prosecutors say he shot the army vet in the theater district years ago. cell phone video capturing the murder was shown in that courtroom. the victim u.s. army veteran steven perez courthouse today to honor a young man they say loved his family and his country. >> a funny loving goof ball that he was. he had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. >> anchor: castilo faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

i can tell you we did not find a book. >> reporter: charlotte news outlets are reporting that the incident might have been reporting on a dash cam. one activist called for an economic boycott of the city. >> black dollars shouldn't matter. >> reporter: appealing for calm. >> we all see this as a tragedy. we all want to work towardaise peaceful community. >> reporter: a black officer been placed on administrative leave. tim caputo 7 news. >> anchor: protesters in tulsa, oklahoma standing together today after an unarmed black man was shot and killed by police. calling for actions against the officer who pulled the trigger. his family says 40-year-old terrence crutcher was unarmed when he was shot and killed. officers stopped to check on him after his car stalled in the middle of the road.

fall arriving at 10:21 in the morning. boston around are 83. lakeville 82. north of town the numbers in the 80s. drake at 87. into the worcester hills. the numbers move to the 70s tomorrow morning and 80s tomorrow afternoon. province town at 80 and nantucket 79. it will be a warm afternoon. with the dry air it's allowed to cool off nicely. kick off at 8:30. lo and when the game wraps up the numbers in the upper 60s. friday a mix of clouds and sunshine. the threat of evening showers on friday. i don't think it's a repeat of what we dealt with a few days ago. it would be nice to have an all day rain. the cool front draped across southern canada will grab some of this cooler air.
