he went into a cvs pharmacy, argued with an 18-year-old customer, then shot him in the shoulder. >> he has ties to stoughton, boston, and brockton. >> any idea of the motive? . >> not at this time. that is still under investigation. >> reporter: it was some sort of argument, not a robbery. >> some sort of argument. the individuals involved are known to the victim. >> reporter: police have arre t 16. they accompanied the suspect into the store and then ran off with him after several shots were fired. >> they are charged with conspiracy, assault, with intent to kill. assault and battery. report a witness toll me she heard a commotion before the gunfire. >> you know, i didn't think anything of it. and then i heard a couple of pops. police say the victim from stoughton was treated and released at a local hospital and will recover. >> any information, please

>> 2424. again, he is considered armed and dangerous. we do not want you to approach him. call the police department. >> reporter: and the younger suspect s are expected to appear in juvenile court. we are live from stoughton, jonathan hall, 7 news. >> kris: all right, jon. thank you. breaking news in charlotte, north carolina. police have arrested a suspect for the deadly shooting of a protester. the victim was shot on wednesday as people demonstrated against the deadly police shooting of keith lamont scott. there have been t point. but last night was mostly peaceful. demonstrators did stay out past the midnight curfew. but police did not challenge them. now, there is video footage of the police shooting. the family of lamont scott has seen the video. they say it raises more questions. it is not clear if he was armed with a gun. the mayor saying today she believes the video should be released quickly fbs. it is just a matter when. >> i do believe the video should be released.

and i am willing to work with our law enforcement officials to discuss when that will occur. >> reporter: police agree with the mayor that the video needs to be released at the right time. protesters as well as the victim's family, they say they want the video released immediately. >> now turning to a developing story. the oklahoma police officer wanted for shooting and killing an unarmed man turns herself in. this i she turned herself in just before 2:00 this morning. and was charged with manslaughter. she was booked and then released about 20 minutes later after posting $50,000 bond. officer shelby shot and killed terence crutcher last week. the video shows crutcher walking away with his hands in the air before he was shot. after investigating, police say crutcher did not have a gun on him or inside his vehicle. they do say that drug pcp was

here is the weekend forecast. only topping out in the 60's. what a change it will be and then add a chilly breeze to the picture as well. we will continue the cool temperatures into next week. and we will get an hour by hour timeline on the showers to come in a few minutes. >> kris: thank you. now the terror takedown. after the weekend bombings in new jersey and new york, new video appears to show the suspect ahmad khan rahami placing a second explosive on the street in new york city. two men later unload the suitcase, leavi pressure-cooker bomb. investigators say 12 prints were found on the explosive device. rahami is still unable to speak, though. as he continues recovering in the hospital, following a shoot-out with new jersey police. investigators say he will not be medically cleared to face a judge for quite some time. law enforcement officials now focusing the investigation on rahami's family members, saying they might have known about his plans for the attack. rahami's wife was eskorded to the united states from dubai and taken for questioning by the f.b.i..

>> christa: that was peter alexander reporting. meantime, a congressman says hillary clinton's former chief of staff cheryl mills and two other staffer members were granted immunity deals in exchange for their cooperation in the f.b.i. investigation into clinton's use of a private e-mail server while she was u.s. secretary of state. representative jason chafit says mills gave federal investigators access to her laptop on the condition that those findings would not be used against her. >> nancy: yahoo! c accounts were hacked. the largest data breach in history. the company says the breach happened in late 2014. leaking names, phone numbers and other personal information. the company is now trying to figure out if a foreign government is behind the attack. the tech giant says payment, card data and bank account information were not stolen. they are now advising any users who have not changed their password since 2014 to do so now. >> christa: coming up at noon,

people had to be evacuated as well. businesses are stocking up. they are using sandbags to protect against the rising water which we understand isn't going to quit today either. >> nancy: no. how about here at home, bri? what do snuff >> bri: cooler temperatures on the way for the weekend. can we call it a warm drink weekend? break out the pumpkin spice latte. the cider. whatever it is. it will certainly feel more like fall. despite the warm temperatures today. now, i have said it before. might think it is not as nice as it is. we have temperatures in the mid-70's. upper 70's in new bedford. almost hit 80 degrees right now. we will continue to warm and get some breaks in the cloud cover for sunshine as we get into this afternoon. it may even be a touch muggy. so it is summer-like weather for us. for one more afternoon before the big changes arrive for the weekend. a few light showers, merrimack valley, southern new hampshire, seacoast of new hampshire. the rain will really hold off until we hit the evening hours. i think really later evening

timeline on the showers today, looked to be between 7:00 p.m. and probably midnight tonight. we will run through the timeline in a second. taking a look at those highs expected for this afternoon. low 80's. possibly even some mid-80's coming across the board. and then we put an end to it with this front. this front really does mean business. not necessarily with the wet weather this evening. but with the cool air that is settling in behind it. and we get really a string of cooler days that we haven't had for a long time. here and there. this is like get used to it. it is sticking around with us for a while. running through the timeline, not just with the rain showers, but also with the temperatures, low 80's this afternoon. and then watch what happens as those showers arrive. 6:00, 7:00, moving in from the north: and heading to the south. we drop those temperatures back into the low 60's by 10:00 p.m. overnight tonight, mid-50's and by tomorrow morning, we even have some upper 40's coming in on the board. so it will be a long way to go

afternoon. and we don't get very far. just to put this in perspective for you, normal high for this time of year for boston, 70 degrees. well above that today. we see some below-normal temperatures that stick around for some time. maybe that will inspire you to do some apple-picking. fantastic weather for it. a little breezy. dress in layers in the fall-time. then you can take off the jacket if you need to. put it back on when you need to. how about frost? it, and i do think sunday morning, monday morning as well, there is a chance for some patchy frost. you see this light shade of purple here in northern worcester county, right on time for that to happen. norwood might be in the picture as well. as we get into sunday, monday morning. get-aways, up in the mountains, lakes region, it is going to be a cool one. maybe you will be into some leaf-peeping. 59 degrees for a high on sunday. that is about the best we can do. scattered showers overnight tonight.

getting that sunshine for this afternoon. and then some big changes to follow that front. setting things up for the weekend: a very fall-like weekend ahead of us. with below normal temperatures. we will get a timeline on the showers to come in a few minutes. >> nancy: all right, bri. thank you. an officers in lexington hit by a vehicle during a traffic detail on pleasant street. lexington police say his injuries are minor. and he was taken to the hospital. the driver now facing drunk driving charges. p after a pedestrian is struck in the street in haverhill. investigators say the victim was hit while walking along hildel avenue. >> christa: a woman in the hospital after her car slams into a home in ashburnham. police say she was unconscious behind the wheel when this happened thursday afternoon. the car went air bon also before it crashed into the house. no one was home at the time. and the house has been condemned. >> nancy: details emerging after officials say white

the information was stolen from a member of the white house advance team. it included personal information, including that of the first lady. to prepare michelle obama's visit to the middle east last year, an employee of the white house forwarded her passport to his nonsecured g-mail account. details of the account have been web site which is suspected to be run by russian intelligence. the site says if such sensitive information can be hacked, "we will see the fall of our country." the same site posted campaign-related e-mails hacked from colin powell. part of a string of cyber-attacks on political targets. u.s. officials say it may be intended to influence voters. >> we are deeply concerned that the russians are meddling, and from what we know of the

believe would only come from the highest levels. report tt latest hack e-mails including briefing materials for official visits such as a trip to cleveland in june by vice president joe biden. in an april event with michelle obama in georgia, including an appearance with al roker on the today show. nearly 13,000 e-mails hacked. exposing the white house travel manual on keeping communications secure. a former f.b.i. cyber-expert says the techniques to hack a g-mail account aren't l what you would expect a nation state to have. a number of criminal elements could clearly have those as well as your friends in high school. >> nancy: the hack also included information about hillary clinton's campaign events. including where she planned to be and who was flying on her private plane. a man gets more than he bargained for after stealing a woman's purse.

this afternoon. which will be in the low 8's for many of us. i have the question on twitter. where is the mugginess that you promised? we are seeing some dry air. boston dew points as well as norwood, in the upper 4's. this is some dry air. this is where your mugginess is. down near cape cod and the islands. it is going to feel humid all throughout today and into the evening hurs there as well. we still have that southerly, southwesterly light wind. but that's helping to usher in some more moisture and also some warmer temperatures. that is why i still think we n locations for the highs this afternoon. our last warm day before we cool things down. a lot of cloud cover out there. we will see some breaks of sunshine here and there. that will help to warm things up as well. we do have a few spot showers already working through the area. for the rest of the afternoon, i do expect all of those spot showers to stay north of the mass. pike. near the north shore where we are seeing them right now. a couple of bolts of lightning out of that lonely cell there. that has passed. we can't rule it out into this

even some showers behind the front, we could get some rumbles of thunder out of it. very isolated in nature. scattered showers is what i expect out of this. running through the timeline, you can see these temperatures starting to drop back as this line moves in from the north. we are looking at mid-60's by 7:00 p.m. i think f you will certainly need to take that extra layer with you. we are in the's by 11:00 p.m. and the wet weather also i a quarter of an inch up to half an inch could be the case for us. we will take every drop we can get. then we bottom out in the mid to upper 40's for tomorrow morning. certainly, some changes in store for us as we head into the weekend. only in the 60's for our highs. plus, we have a chilly breeze out of the north that is going to make it feel even cooler. it is a feel of fall. that is with us for the weekend. i know you have noticed. the sunset coming earlier and earlier. tonight at 6:39.
