>> 911. >> what are the injuries? >> i can't hear. >> ma'am, we can't understand you. i need you to take a breath. >> we received the call from a mother stating that her 7-year-old daughter had just backed over her 2-year-old daughter. >> reporter: it happened around 6:30 last night outside this apartment building on self policy street her 11-year-old and somehow the vehicle ended up in reverse backing over girl's 2-year-old sister. emergency responders scrambled to the scene before the toddler was airlifted to children's hospital in boston with a serious leg injury plus bruising to her ribcage, upper arm and head. >> police say this isn't the first time that the mother let her daughter the store the car outside.

>> reporter: the victim now 38 years old just came forward and reported the abuse to law enforcement this summer. prosecutors say the statute limitations hasn't expired because walsh lived out this day for more than a decade. prosecutors say walsh repeatedly raped the victim who was in grade school at the time. [ indiscernible ] >> walsh had been living in florida and michigan, and it was there he became a priest in 2002, but was relieved of his duties months later when allegations were brought against him. the archdiocese never reveal what had those allegations were. in court today defense lawyers say walsh will stay here and

is in poor health. >> mr. walsh will be 80 years old at the end of the month. he has significant medical hardships, 100% disabled. >> we reached out to the boston archdiocese to learn more about those two 2000 allegations but have not heard back. in boston, nicole oliverio, 7news. >> so the alleged victim in this case did send 7 in us a statement saying i hope by m cooling forwarding it will allow other victims the courage to come forward, as well. y do not want him to do this to a man has died after a serious crash in east boston. police say he crashed right into a pole around 1:30 this morning around logan airport. he was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries and did not survive. the crash is under investigation. one person is killed in a serious crash on route 190 in leominster. it happened just before 11:00 last night. police say only one car was involved in that crash and there was no word yet on the cause.

inside there's a storm over there with beneficial rain and there's a storm out over the ocean that's generating some beneficial rain but for us this storm here is setting up the northeast wind so that's why we have the clouds in the cool conditions we'll hold on to the clouds. there are a few peeks of such up to the north shore and sunshine. that will try to work into southern new england tomorrow afternoon. i do think there will be some sunshine developing tomorrow afternoon perhaps as early as mid morning, up through the northshore, the seacoast and back into the worcester hills. along and outside 495 tomorrow i think you have a really nice day. a fair amount of sunshine.

have the northeast wind and that's coming from the gulf of maine and mass bay. loaded with moisture. that might be tougher to break the clouds down in these locations here. even with that said, you have outdoor plans just a lot of clouds. there could be a couple patches of drizzle early on. boston north and west, not too bad tomorrow afternoon. upper 50s to around 60. still kind of cool. although, where you have more sunshine these temps closer to where we should be this time of year. raymond and manchester in the mid-60s, back to the region and the worcester hills, keene at 65. fitchburg at 63 with partly to mostly sunny skies. and then out on to the cape and islands, again, mostly cloudy skies. chatham and province town and wellesey in the upper 50s. then we focus our attention on this storm over here which will slowly begin to move toward new england, about you in doing so it also will weaken. even though the storm gets closer to us, it will be in a weaker form meaning that we'll have the chance of rain but i don't think it will be

multiple states today. we are learning a lot more about the police investigation here in connecticut into nathan carmen's 87-year-old grandfather's death. now, the coast guard brought the 22-year-old into boston yesterday afternoon he was rescued by the crew of a chinese freighter 100 miles south of the vineyard. he was questioned for hours. his home in vermont, searched by police who got a notebook from there. a comcast modem, a garmin gps sim card. last night he spoke to >> i feel healthy, emotionally i've been through a huge amount, and my request is just to be allowed to mourn natural he look. >> he told a reporter he had nothing to do with the deaths of his mother and grandfather. in fact, he said he was like a son to his grandfather, certainly would not want to murder him.
