unsolved murder of his grandfather a few years ago. carmen returned home yesterday after he and his mother vanished. she and the boat is still missing. tonight they say he is speaking out. we are breaking details. >> 922-year-old nathan is insisting he had nothing to do with his mother's recent disappearance at a. or his grandfathers unsolved murder back in 2013. when he arrived in boston just after he was resed nearly a week objecting at sea the coast guard spent hours questioning him about what happened out there in the water. officers also went to his home in vermont and searched the place taking a notebook, a cable modem and the dps memory card. when carmen got to vermont last night he spoke with 7 news. >> i am, i feel healthy. emotionally i have been through a huge amount and my request is just to be allowed to mourn naturally. >> now his father also spoke out saying it is a shame that the death of carmen's

to see him alive. he discarded a computer hard drive and gps device right after the killing. in the documents as he owned a remington shotgun which police seized from his upscale apartment house in middletown connecticut. there were no witnesses. the case was circumstantial. a prosecutor decided to hold off. but the police captain told me quote ?we prepared a warrant and it was not returned. >> the past is the past. i wish the press would leave it alone. because he grandfather or mother ? >> carmen is now in vermont. his father says he is a victim who needs support, not punishment. >> a very difficult situation. none of us really know what he went through. >> police say they are obviously interested in the disappearance of a murder victim's family member but they declined on camera comments. in windsor connecticut,

seven-year-old daughter had backed over her two-year-old daughter. >> it happened early monday night outside of his apartment okay.ing. concern.. >> investigators say women let her seven-year-old daughter take the keys to her car and started. somehow the vehicle ended up in reverse backing over the girls two-year-old sister. emergency responders scrambled to the scene before the toddler was hospital. with a serious leg injury. >> i have a six-year-old so is really tough to see a kid getting hurt. >> police said this is not the first time that mother let her daughter start the car when she would not outside. something investigators discourage. >> things can happen quickly. kids that age, sometimes they can get away from you. >> the state division of youth and families is now involved in the investigation where it appears to that the toddler should be okay.

mother holds a sign wednesday evening. her protest comes hours after news broke that the school system for the varsity football coach on paid leave after allegations surfaced of inappropriate behavior. >> my son has been with him for years and he is good. his talk but that is what they you know that is what they need to win. make the school superintendent telling 7 news that they received allegations of players. he says the district is taking them seriously. but for some parents like this one whose son is one of the captains of the team, she along with a few others we spoke to says the coach is a good man. >> i think it is sad. >> i don't know people he deserved it and he just wanted the best out of his players. and he wanted them to perform to the best of their ability. all coaches all the kids and stuff. all these kids, they do not know how to take it anymore you

then i think as we look for and more so into the afternoon there will be some sunshine developing. especially for you both north and west of town. at 5:00 again notice the great indicating where we have clouds and a little bit of patchy air back toward hartford and orange. and ?that dry air kind of slowly trues away at the cloudiness around the metro. and certainly the north shore and the metrowest a chance at a decent afternoon tomorrow. with a fair amount of sunshine. there will be more clouds locked. this is where we have a lot of clouds outpost in the cake upper 50s. around the metro partly sunny skies with mostly sunny skies. merrimack valley, seacoast back into worchester hills and in these locations this is where you can find your warmest air 60s, after sometime tomorrow afternoon. jeffrey is 64, pittsburgh a mix of sun and clouds.
