the subject of a multi-state police investigation. armed with a search warrant and red evidence tape police went through linda carmen's connecticut home thursday night. she is believed dead after an ill-fated fishing trip with her 22-year-old son nathan. nathan carmen told the coast guard he lost sight of his mom after his boat began to sink and he made his way into a life raft with the food and water. a chinese ship rescued him after a week. healthy cow was myct machine's former lawyer said she loved her son, nathan and spoke off the an about his struggles with asperinger's, a mild form of ative. he was named a suspect in his grandfather's 2013 murder but no charges were ever filed against him. she was convinced that he had nothing to do with the death of his grandfather and she could list reasons. >> reporter: the attorney reveals nathan wasn't the only suspect in the 2013 shooting

police questioned linda three times and in 2011 she had a violent altercation with her father on the 7th floor of this hartford hospital. a police report obtained by 7 news indicates he threatened to stop supporting his daughter because nathan's dad was slow to accept a job offer. quote linda is saying her dad was worth $300 million. it said she lost it when he tried to left a waiting room. "john stated he was struck upon his ad linda's closed fist and also was being kicked at the same time by linda." the report also indicates that carmen scratched at her father's face and actually gave her ex-husband a fat lip when he tried to intercede. after about three months the elderly father decided not to go forward with the prosecution. we're still waiting from the court to find out what was discovered here at this home when police went through it last

>> anchor: down on the job. mbta officials releasing this picture of what appears to be an employee lying down in the money room and this is actually scattered on a nearby table. >> anchor: that incident was never investigate and the worker never identified but the mbta wanted you to see it. this surveillance photo inside the mbta money room shows a on the floor behind a wall and you can see cash scattered on a nearby table. the picture was taken in february and also appears to show another t worker off to the right. the mbta released the photo as it pushes for privatizing its fare collection system. currently those duties are handled by the boston carmen's union which counts $142 million a year this that money room. the mbta called photos troubling and release adstatement saying there is no logical reason for a transit system to be in the cash

not just the wet weather or the cool temperatures but there is also a pretty strong breeze that's coming in out of the northeast, ten to even 20 miles per hour. so here is the rain working through the area from south to north. we have scattered showers throughout worcester county and then as you take a closer into boston we saw it, a lot of wet weather in fenway and a couple of seconds ago i was even seeing yellow colorings in here indicating some heavier rainfall. now take it into southeastern mass heavier rainfall bridgewater out through kingston, duxbury as well. these spokes, these bands of the yellow and oranges, the heavier rainfall continued to track from south to north and while it is widespread scattered showers expected through not only tonight but through the better part of tomorrow, there will be some times of dry weather and also some times of heavy rainfall. so going through the time line here overnight tonight i think we can break apart some of those showers at least through later evening hours.

widespread showers could become heavy at times through tomorrow morning, still some of those isolated downpours that work through the area until about midday. then i think into the afternoon some of us could catch some areas of no rain, sometimes, then we continue with the scattered showers activity as we make it into sunday as well. so your heaviest rainfall expected overnight tonight through the first half of tomorrow and if there is a wetter of the two weekend days, that would be saturday rather than sunday. but we need evdr half an inch to an inch and a half and quite possibly in some of those harder hit areas two inches of rainfall. now hurricane matthew big news tonight and if you look very closely you can see a very well-defined eye to this storm. now a category four hurricane and, yes, this escalated very quickly if you have been keeping an eye on it. tracking to the west southwest but expected to make a sharp turn to the north as we get into this weekend and probably taking a whole lot of damaging wind and
