5:00. let's go to bri eggers for the very latest. ryan and kim this is really very ominous view that you can see. this is infrared satellite imagery the brighter the red color the colder the cloud tops and that means the greater amount of convection through the weekend we have been seeing this powerful storm with sort of split% in thy and even having some pretty powerful convection on the east side of this storm and not just around the eye walls so as far as real estate is concerned, it's relatively a small storm but it is definitely ck still a category four storm. hurricane warnings have been posted for eastern cuba and also for western haiti and downgraded for jamaica as that track is kind of honing in on haiti and also for cuba. matthew impacts hurricane force winds 345 miles out from the eye of the storm. flash-flooding and mud slides could prove to be deadly. we'll likely prove to be deadly. haiti could see 15 to 25 inches of rain locally you will to 40 inches more than three feet of rain.

serve a search warrant at an apartment building. police say the man pointed a gun at officers. amaka u back quay live in lynn with details on what led up to the shooting and what we know this evening. amaka? >> anchor: kim, police say this whole incident started when they tried responding to these condominiums to serve that search warrant but they say the suspect instead of answering the door he pulled out a gun. it all happened on the fifth floor here around 9:00 police say the 57-year-old suspect was connected to a robbery that happened at a restaurant last month. officers say when they knocked on the door of his apartment, a female witness inside told officers that the man was pointing a gun at the door and said the suspect was saying police were not going to take him. at that point, three officers forced their way inside and they say they saw the suspect pointing that gun. they say the suspect ran into the hallway of the apartment,

officers and that is when police fired at the suspect, killing him. people who live around here say that this is a normally quiet neighborhood and they were shocked to hear what happened. extremely upsetting. yeah. not a usual occurrence in our neighborhood, really. it surprises me because this particular area, this house you know, this condominium is just not a place that you see any trouble. not clear how many shots those officers fired or how many times the suspect was hit. at this point, lynn police tell he that all they officers have been policed on paid administrative leave. as for the name of the suspect it, is not being released at this point until his family is notified. live in lynn, amaka ubaka, 7 news. >> anchor: in the race for the white house, tax trouble for donald trump. the new york state attorney general's office claiming that donald trump foundation is violating the state fund-raising

as i explained a category three, 120 mile-per-hour winds packing a punch even as we get into thursday. now this latest forecast track from the national hurricane center came out at 5:00 p.m. and it is sliding that track a little closer to the coastline of the southeastern united states as well as the carolinas where it's still expected to be a category two hurricane by the time we make it into the weekend. after that, things become very unclear and you have to remember when you see all of this gray area here with e that's not a swath that this storm is expected it affect but rather that cone of uncertainty could track anywhere within that cone so we have to keep a close eye on the latest forecast models as they become available and of course we'll keep you updated taking a look at our 7 on 7 forecast the middle of this week really looks fantastic for us and enjoy thursday and friday. that's fall at its best and then we if we do see any impact from matthew it would come next weekend, look like sunday and
