s. >> ntsb officials now say the deadly plane crash in connecticut is being investigated as an intentional criminal act and the fbi is now involved in that investigation. the plane crash yesterday in the middle of a road in east hartford near the headquarters of defense contractor pratt and whitney. one person inside the plane was killed and another person newsroom with more on the breaking details. >> well, the pilot investigators say intentional crashed the plane, died in the crash and the instructor survived. the instructor is doing okay and cooperating with investigators to find out exactly what happened. there were reports that the

say the exact circumstances that led to the crash are still under investigation. information indicates that this plane crash was intentional but i want to be crystal clear, the circumstances beyond that are still being investigated. there was a pilot, what the circumstances were that led to it being intentional, all windows are open at this point, there's no clear indication as far as any anything. there's a lot of work to be done and we're not drawing any conclusions of any way, shape, or form. it does appear to be intentional but beyond that, the investigation is continuing. >> now, police say the area could be back open as soon as late tonight as evidence collectors and crews finish up. again the cause of the crash is still under investigation by the fbi and ntsb lang with local

live in the newsroom,. and a chase went through several towns before police arrested the suspect. >> and police say a man also may have assaulted the police officer during his arrest. jonathan hall has more on what happened. >> it was a relatively low speed police pursuit through seven towns that ended on busy route 28 and randolph. >> it was about -- something from the movies. >> reporter: police says joy led them through driver ended up losing control of his mom's car. >> he lost control and spun out and did make contact to the police cruiser. the cruiser is still out on parole. very -- patrol. >> he jumped out and then they all tackled him. >> police gave this condo complex as joyce's address. >> joyce's mom lives here. i did speak with her at her home and she says her son took the car without her permission and she called the police.

hospital stay joyce is heading to court. charges could include driving to endanger, auto theft and assault and battery on a police officer. >> there might have been pushing and shoving at the end. that's typical, we deal with that every day. >> joyce well-known to halifax police, been arrested four times and has a long record dating to 1993 when he was arrested for drunk driving as a teenager. in halifax, jonathan hall, 7news. a cambridge man called to court today for stealing an ambulance. investigat took the ambulance from a nearby hospital just after 5:00 yesterday evening. police stopped the 48-year-old suspect at a traffic light near cambridge street and third street. he was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and driving without a license. and police are looking for the man suspected in an attempted sexual assault in mission hill. officers say the man seen in this surveillance video footage tried to sexual assault a woman near fitzgerald park and roxbury saturday afternoon. according to police, the man pushed the woman to the ground before he ran away.

continued their morning show after a drunk driver crashed right to the side of that station. police say the 29-year-old driver is being charged with d.u.i. and drug possession after finding narcotics in the vehicle there. the news talk radio 1380 building was heavily damaged but the state's operations were not interrupted. a driver has a close call in sterling when a tree branch falls right through the windshield of their car. the driver was able to walk away with just minor injuries. that's terrifying. the police department posted these photos onac they say if the branch had fell just a few more inches to the left, this would have been a much different story. >> there's more news today, more than a dozen police officers in san antonio texas are facing discipline after appearing in a video wearing donald trump hats. trump tweeted the video showing some of the officers who escorted his motorcade wearing his trademark red hats. the chief said the officers violated policy by taking part in a political activity while in uniform and would be disciplined. a florida couple under

were under unconscious in a car with two young children in the backseat. police still aren't sure exactly what happened but they are facing charges. >> a toddler and a baby are now in the care of dcf. they were found hungry and dirty in the backseat this car. miami police say the blue hyundai was blocking traffic in a busy travel lane as the driver and adult passenger were fast asleep. the 2-year-old and two month-old were in the back. paramedics. >> they were passed out on seventh avenue and as you can see behind me, the hundreds of cars go to the area on a daily basis and they were just passed out like they were at home sleeping. >> reporter: police say the initial call came in as a possible drug overdose but it's unclear if that's exactly what happened. paramedics did not issue any drug anti-dotes and no other medical treatment was given. the car was towed away and those two dates were taken into

apparently me told investigators that he had a fight with a student pilot on this flight. the student pilot disgruntled bit pilot and says he was unable to keep him from bringing the plane down. it was a suicide, not terrorism but local police refuse to >> the circumstance is beyond it being determined if it was intentional. >> reporter: a student pilot died in the crash but the instructor survived. police acknowledge his statements help the investigator describe the crash was intentional. the mayor told me the instructor said the crash was no accident. >> that is what the detective i hear through the sources was told.
