shoot-out here. it was a chaotic scene when police pulled up to 136 gladstone street here in east boston before 11 last night. that is where they were met by a man who said his roommate threatened him with a knife after they argued over the heat. and no sooner did police enter the house that there was gunfire. i need every officer available to make their way, 136 gladstone street, please. good to see t up the street like that with gun, it was insane. rich cintolo and matt morris shot multiple times before officers would exchange gunfire with the shooter. 33-year-old kirk figueroa armed with an assault rifle wearing a bulletproof vest gets into a firefight with boston police officers before he shot and killed. the injured officers are rushed to mass general. he quickly displayed a rifle

basically opened fire on our two officers. and thankfully other officers were close by. with helicopters scouring from above and tactical teams on the ground, residents were ordered to shelter in place overnight before police were able to determine there were no more suspects. everywhere you look there were police and kept flying up, flooding up. it was like a war zone. you can see the crime scene remains sealed off through the day. in boston back in july, but wasn't licensed to carry a firearm has no criminal record in massachusetts, but has been charged outside the state with impersonating a police officer his ford crown victoria that resembles a police cruiser was towed early this morning. having said all i said about

wouldn't have come up. jo we didn't have the legal right to serve on a constable license, but he did have a record, but from what i understand, nothing in mas mass. figueroa's protection services web site says he served eight years in the army reserve and worked as a private investigator in west virginia have, but we found figueroa's application to become a private investigator was denied. his application to run an investigative andur records show figueroa did have gun licenses in florida at various times but expired in 2009 and more recently in february of this year. and we just got a copy of divorce proceedings from the state of georgia it a ditted october of 2015. this filing for divorce claims figueroa gave his wife a black eye, choked her and abused her on several occasions in the

days leading up to the shooting there were disturbing posts on his social media accounts. 7 news has learned figueroa had an ailiat where he posted dozen of videos posts on facebook. posts that investigators are looking closely at. 95, guns and a video about the koran, all of that and more posted on current facebook page under the boston police officers sunday night uses the name kokoa xango describing himself as rapper. posted 16 videos of police-involved shootings of black men. that looks like a bad dude, too. the but the commissioner doesn't believe officers were targeted. >> i don't think it was sort of an issue where the officers with drawn to the scene with the
