up here at 4:30. a woman rescued as' drives intoa band in arlington. someone captured it all on camera. the woman was pulled from the sinking car and returned to the hospital. right now divers are working to try to get the car out of the water. >> also at 4:30, the latest on the officers shot in boston. richard cintolo and matt morse underwent more surge today and we're also learning more about the timeline of events up led up to the shooting. the shooter was shot and killed by police. >> later today the community i together to show them support. >> all right, kim and ryan. investigators today pulling more evidence from the home where ths violent shootout took place. officers richard cintolo and mat morse are still in critical condition today after undergoing more surgery today. the officers were shot multiple times after responding to a call about two roommates arguing over the thermostat. police went inside the home on

he was 18 years old and police are saying she encouraged him with text messages. >> and today her attorney argued up some statements she made to investigators after he died should be thrown out. 7's jonathan hall live in tauntn with the latest on this case. >> the michelle carter case is getting national attention. she is charged with involuntary manslaughter, because here in te bay state, it is not illegal to urge someone or help someone commit suicide. and for the very up time we are hearing a 7 minute police interview up detti carter before she was arrested. >> michelle carter and her parents had no comment after today's hearing. she allegedly urged her boyfriend, conrad roy to kill himself while on the phone and through numerous text messages. roy was asphyxiated after starting up a gas pump in a pickup truck with the windows closed. officers interviewed carter at her high school two years ago.

voluntary. >> next hearing is december up. the judge says he will decide by then whether the police interviw tape should be admissible and al the text messages as well. we'll have more coming up at 5:30. live in taunton, jonathan hall, 7news. >> a man under arrest for drug possession with a child in the back seat. police say 31-year-old david emerson left a 4-year-old in the back seat of his car while going into a suspected drug house. police pulled him over and they say they a pipe in his car. the man faces drug and child endangerment charges. the child is now with the mothe. >> we're following more news today. a man is seriously hurt after he fell from the cliff walk in newport, rhode island. officials say the man was unable to move after he fell yesterday. firefighters were able to climb down the rocks there to reach te man. after about 45 minutes they were able to pull the man off the cliff and air lift him to the hospital.

viking star cruise ship clipping the buzzard bridge as it traveld through the cape cod canal on wednesday. the crews determined the bridge did not suffer damage. today they will inspect other bridges to see if anything happened there. >> a vermont man accused of driving the wrong way on the highway and killing five teens pleads not guilty today. he was wheeled into the court by a nurse due to his injuries from upsh of second degree murder. police say he crashed into the teen's car and stole the police introducer before crashing up into at least 7 other vehicles n october 8th. he was facing foreclosure and ws involved in legal proceedings around domestic and child custoy issues according to documents filed in court. >> the man who scaled manhattan trump tower. he was charged with rexless endangerment and trespassing.

downtown manhattan. and he said he was hoping to hae a private meeting with donald trump. >> a laser had some pilots in michigan seeing green. someone apparently targeting a v station helicopter. the pilots reported seeing up laser while they were flying at night. this is the latest in a string f incidents across the country. 7's nancy chen explains. >> flying a helicopter is by nature dangerous. but this traffic chopper had a green flashlight up the p and then a second green flash grabbed everyone's attention. a few seconds later you can see how the job became even more pelilous. >> someone decided it was a good idea to fill the camera and the cockpit with glare. they were taken aback by the bod flash. >> it was most intense up someoe has tried to flashlights in the six years i've been up here.

as you can see the dive team is still here. her car remain in the pond, and several people on the shore came to this woman's rescue. >> dramatic moments in arlington after a woman accidentally drivs her ford suv into spy pond. three good samaritans jumped in. one opened the door, other pulld this 68-year-old woman from the vehicle. >> they absolutely opened up the car and got thean saving this woman's life. >> the woman was brought to shore. police and fire officials were n scene moments later. they took the woman to the hoppd with mild hypothermia. >> before she was transported, maybe some driver error, maybe a mistake between the brake and gas. >> dozens gathered to watch the divers and grateful for the efforts of the good samaritans.
