the chain. that is why they suggested the restaurant temporarily shut down. >> it makes me nervous that they have to shut down. >> reporter: closed to customers, folks looking for a salad for launch in downtown crossing having to go somewhere else after sweet greens a popular salad chain shut their doors temporarily. someone called and reported they got sick to so the city suggested they shut down. >> themselves. we've had a number of situations we think are egregious enough we've taken the action. >> reporter: the commissioner says when they went to restaurant they found a number ofs violations, food temperatures to cleaning and the manager not knowing some safety rules, this is the second time in two months the city found violations with the chain. back in august, inspectional services shut down the boylston street store after another person reported getting sick. >> we did have, you know, an

their seems to be some common violations here that we want to look at. >> reporter: for the boylston street store was back open within a few days after working with inspectors. here on school street some customers say they won't be coming here anymore. >> i'm dom. not going anywhere. if they couldn't have gotten a handle on this before that is awful. >> reporter: the company has been having a meeting here for the past few hours. they're still closed. the city says to have another inspection then it's a game of wait and see. kelli o'hara, 7 news. >> kim: 7 news turns to your forecast. the king of tides in town, water spilling over the sea wall flooding long wharf today. the king tide is the heightest of the year in massachusetts. we saw trouble on morrissey boulevard. lanes were closed because of the splash over. a live look at the fog. it's their someone.

>> reporter: a damaged car sits in the street after a deadly wreck in waltham. police say two men were in a crosswalk on wipeman street when he was hit by a car just before 7:00 tuesday morning. >> upon arrive, one male was found face down in the roadway. other was on the curbing. >> reporter: police say the man on the road was dead. 7 news learned he was 65 years old getting off the bus. the other man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. heart breaking news for people in the area. >> i would see them the gym. if i'm running a little later i won't see them but most mornings i would see them crossing. horrible. >> reporter: police believe both men work in the area. >> the area was a lot of office parks, still trying to determine which direction they were going in the roadway. as far as why they were in the roadway and so on that is still under investigation. >> reporter: police and people that live here say this street is known to be busy. >> we've asked for a couple of times to have a light put

roads, pedestrians, cars and we've not had major incidents in the area as far as accidents. >> reporter: i just got an update. the man hit in the crosswalk taken to the hospital, he is 70 years old. we're told his condition has been upgraded to serious. as far as the driver he is 60 years old. it doesn't appear that he was impaired. charges are still possible. live in waltham, john uno, 7 news. a recovery for the two officers shot in east boston. the two officers were upgraded from critical to stable as we reported. today the mayor talked about how they're doing and credited community for its steady and ongoing support. >> i saw them over the weekend. certainly a lot better than they were a week ago, hopefully we'll be hopefully they will be able to get home soon. you know, certainly last night, mass in east boston

it's everyone is rallying around these two officers. >> adam: the officers were shot in eastie after responding to a domestic disdispute. the shooter was shot and killed by police. >> kim: in iraq kurdish fighters met with resistance forced to pause their advance. the next maneuvers could put innocence lives on the line in mosul. iraqi and kurdish forces advancin yesterday. the kurdish park murtha and the iraqi police and military managed to take about 20 villages to the south and east of mosul but today they've been helped up stopped by suicide car bombs and mortar fire. they surround and area held by ice i hold on to it and wait for the appropriate moment to move in.
