it appears they have since contacted the family. in fact fire department ambulance just showed up a short time ago because a relative young boy who was killed was on the ground in tears. potentially hyper ventilating that is when they brought in emts they just found out family died earlier this evening a boy was hit by an suv while he was riding down main street in brockton. boy who believed to be around 13 years old died at the scene. our biggest challenge right now at this point is tryin t the victim. we really need to be able to contact the family of the victim of this accident. that's where our focus is right now. brockton mayor says they have the boy's cell phone but haven't able to contact any family yet driver of suv stopped immediately after hitting the victim. several police agencies are now investigating but right now it is unclear who is at fault. the driver himself is young. not long after the crash,

drivers a teenage driver. clearly visibly shaken. was cooperative. no charges filed at this point. but it's very early in the investigation. the state police reconstruction team is here. so they're doing their thing to reconstruct the accident. so it's a very active investigation. but our focus immediately right now office trying to get an id the young man that lost his life tonight so we can get in touch with his family. >> back out here live right now notified a few family members showed up to scene here just about ten, 15 minutes minutes ago ambulance firefighters showed up in last couple of minutes because one. and because a news that young boy has died here in six:45 this evening. family has since been notified but police and authorities here have not released the name of that young boy to the public just yet. that's latest live from brockton, tim caputo, 7 news night team. we have a breaking news in ipswich.

guard. there's a night amaka ubaka us live in ipswich. >> well kim one swimmer was able to make it back to shore on his own other swimmer was rescued around 9:30 evening he had already been in water for four hours by then. we know he was transferred to local hospital and he's in stable condition. we do have video of this scene from earlier. what we know at this point that is men told police that they were caught up in swept out rip current. coast guard says that is father and a son-in-law who both experienced swimmers. they went into water around 5:30. but after they didn't return home, concerned family members went to the beach and noticed their bikes were still on shore. but there was no sight of em this. that's when they called 911 and coast guard began their search. by boat and by helicopter. at one point police say the son-in-law was able to make back to shore and tell them what happened appear after an hour
