breaking news at father:30, police in epping new hampshire are investigating an armed home invasion. right now police say the house was targeted and it was knot random. >> police have arrested three men they believe are connected with this armed robbery. they locked down the area near route 27 in epping today, the alleged victim of the robbery saying two men walk ed that this house looking for him. he says hitting him over the head with the end of a gun. he says he then ran outside where a police officer happened to be going by. so police are about to hold a news conference. they're in epping. we're expecting any moment now to give us more update beside what happened in this home invasion, when that happens of course we'll bring it to you live right here on the air on 7news. also today, a convicted sex offender called to court. he's charged with exposing himself in front of a group of high schoolgirls in walpole.

same route the bus had taken once it left the school that day. >> reporter: with his picture posted at police headquarters as a registered sex offender, grant no stranger to police and prosecutors. he's been convicted of open and gross lewdness 10 times since 1991, something police say is incredibly frustrating for them. >> it gets frustrating when you know that it's likely to happen again and then it does. >> reporter: prosecutors were requesting a high bail while grant's attorney says his client denies the aeg the volleyball team members picked him out. they said they saw him. >> they said they saw a man with a hat and sunglasses. was that mr. grant? i don't know. >> grant's bail was set at $10,000 cash by the judge. he's been ordered strict conditions by the judge to stay away from all schools and also stay away from anyone under the age of 18.

we're live in walpole, steve cooper, 7news. a man is recovering after the coast guard rescued him from the water in ipswich. officers saying the man and his son-in-law were swimming tuesday evening when they got swept out by rip currents. the son-in-law made it back to shore. coast guard crews eventually found his father-in-law struggling to stay afloat and made the big save. >> both of them were wearing wetsui swimmers and did the right thing and didn't panic. >> crews say the father-in-law was in the water for about four hours. he was taken to the hospital. both men are expected to be okay. police are searching for suspects after a man is shot in dorchester. it happened on dorchester avenue around 6:00 p.m. last night. police say the victim was cleaning his car when someone fired several shots, hitting him in the arm and the neck. the 41-year-old suffered life threatening injuries. a teenager has been placed on the mass most wanted list in

investigators say 16-year-old jayden smith and another man shot and killed a 29-year-old man on plain street back in july. police have arrested the other suspects considered armed and dangerous. police are offering a $1,000 award for any information leading to his arrest. authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information about a series of fires in teensboro. investigators say 11 vehicles and one home were damaged by fire earlier this two goats that were stolen in milford. officers believe two men in a red pickup truck took the goats after neighbors rounded them up when they escaped. the man claimed the goats were theirs. the owner asking for help finding their goats and say they raised them since they were probate babies. we are following more news here today, the fallout from hurricane matthew still very visible with north carolina.

flooding victims say fema systems isn't enough to help them as they rebuild their lives, christa delcamp reports. >> reporter: clean-up crews down south going from apartment to apartment removing personal belongings destroyed by hurricane matthew. mattresses, appliances, furniture, just about everything. there are 99 apartments in this complex alone and that means all of these families have just been turned upside down. toya is one of them. >> i don't really have any clothes. a lot of it >> reporter: she spent hours cleaning out her first-floor apartment, and like many in the hardest-hit areas, she has no flood insurance and says money from government agencies will not be enough to start over. >> even with fema helping, it's still not gonna be enough to, you know, me put down a deposit and get started. >> reporter: it's a scene being played out across several states where are homes were underwater. the city is using large trucks to pick pickup debris and take it to the dump, but once the clean-up stops, a big question

manhunt in new hampshire. police tell us they're suspected of breaking into a 21-year-old's home, robbing him and assaulting him. it happened just after 1:00 this afternoon. police tell us that an epping police officer was on patrol and just happened to be driving by when he saw two men running out of the house and that's when they were arrested. the alleged victim tells us he then saw a third man run away and that suspect got away with his .9 millimeter gun. that's when the manhunt began, local and state police locking hours, including several schools that were also put on lock-down. but late this afternoon, police found their third suspect, that alleged victim tells us what he says happened. >> we receive at tip from a citizen on pleasant street of a suspicious male matching the description of raul, a suspect on his property in the backyard. he was headed for the neighboring vacant property, and last seen headed in the direction of an empty shed behind the house.
