but moving forward, temps not really taking a nose-dive to below normal temps but where we should be for october, which is low 60s. that's tomorrow and friday. a few showers on friday afternoon, perhaps some downpours friday night. that's tied to a cold front and it is noticeably cooler and certainly windy for the upcoming weekend. out there right now a nice breeze from the west and northwest. driving the humidity that we had out there early in the day. did you feel that humidity? i sure did, and then it was gone by lunchti air temperatures in the upper 70s. again, the cool front acting more like a dry line that you find in texas than anything else but because the air has dried out, once you take the sun out of the sky, then those numbers can start to drop. that's the case tonight. a cooler night tonight, 40s to around 50. already, this is our next weather system. the batch of clouds and a scattering of showers, we don't have to worry about the showers overnight tonight and even tomorrow. the clouds will be on the
5:51 pm
upper 40s to the mid-50s. and for tomorrow, it is a much cooler day. partly sunny skies. so tomorrow's a decent day but there will be the risk of a few sprinkles late in the afternoon. i think probably the farther west you travel the more likely you'll see the sprinkles. along the coastline it's a dry day but with the east wind off the water that's also where you'll find your coolest temps. so your timeline tomorrow, a few high thin cirrus clouds, that's about it and as we work through the day at noon tomorrow, still holding on to the sunshine. here are the clouds. we have got rain. showers will move into western new england tomorrow afternoon and by 5:00 p.m. in the stiff boston certainly more clouds around than right now or even tomorrow morning. but i don't think much in the way of rain, if anything. a few showers from southern
5:52 pm
berkshires and connecticut river valley. and then tomorrow night, i do think we'll see a couple of sprinkles, a higher chance of showers on friday. a lot of clouds on friday. temps both tomorrow and friday into the mid-60s. friday, though, the greatest chance for showers. even that looks like it'll be late in the day on friday more likely friday evening with downpours possible and as we work into the weekend, a lot of clouds but i think essentially it will be a dry weekend with low pressure passing to our west friday night, as it goes up too generate a lot of wind as the storm really explodes. and so we'll have northwest winds saturday and sunday. winds will gust over 30 miles per hour each day. and that'll be a chilly wind from the northwest. cool temps, temps on saturday may start the day near 60. but otherwise plan on temps for much of the day in the mid- and upper 50s, and for sunday, partly sunny skies. temps in the mid 60s but with northwest winds it will feel like the upper 40s on sunday. see you at 6:00.
