where the school bus came to a crashing halt up against the house after it mowed down a telephone pole, a car, a fire hydrants, mail box and stone box. >> it sounded like a dump trump flipping over. >> reporter: the bus was loaded with two dozen school children who poured out into the streets after a scary ride. neighbors and school officials rushed to the children's side. >> most of them were very calm. there escorting them talking about other things going on in the day. i heard some others say it was an early release from the elementary school. >> reporter: several children were taken to hospital along with the bus driver and a woman driverring the car that was hit. but all of their injuries described as minor. >> when you lock at the scene, -- look at the scene, thank god there weren't more injuries because it doesn't look nice with the pole, the wall, vehicle, the house so i'm you are shoo the kids were shaken up.

her family rushed hem after hearing it was their house that was hit. >> the house is shook up. everything is all over the place. it looks like an earthquake so we'll see what we can do. >> time to redecorate. >> it's awful. >> i can't find my cat. i'm getting nervous about that. >> reporter: one of the reasons the kids were able to get out safely is just yesterday this elementary school had their bus evacuation drill. teaching the kids how to get out. they had to use thoseki just 24 hours -- skills just 24 hours later. the superintendent says tomorrow the assistant principal and the principal will ride the house until the time they feel safe riding again on their own. live in quincy, dan hausle, 7 news. >> kim: our coverage of the bus crash continues. byron barnett spoke to one of the children who ended up having to go to the hospital. >> reporter: the good news is that everyone who came here to south shore hospital

minorrier, that includes seven school kids and one of the adult drivers. we talked to one of the consume kids and his mom. it was a terrifying experience for them both. >> a lot of screaming when it first bounced. then i started screaming too. >> reporter: 8-year-old owen mckim heading home after getting checked out at south shore hospital. he says being in a school bus accident was really scary. >>s way first part of the crash, just it was really loud noises. then i fell out of my seat. i got up. and i saw the bus crash into a house. >> something was happening over there. didn't even down on me until -- dawn on me until i heard there was a bus yash. >> reporter: owen's mom was waiting for her son at the bus stop when she saw police cruisers go whizzing by then her mother called to tell her about the crash

and her dad called to tell her owen was at the hospital. >> i didn't really get anxious until i heard that he was not with the kids waiting at the vfw would be picked up. this is my own son so, it's a little terrifying when you don't, you are not sure what is going on. >> reporter: owen saw other kids get toss around as well. >> my friend anthony was on the bus took, he said the bus bent. he window. >>owen hit his head but i'm feeling better. >> he was talking up a storm telling every nurse that would talk to him what happened. >> reporter: owen says he is fine getting back on that school bus to go to school but he says he hopes he is never in an accident like that again. i am byron barnett, 7 news.

dedham man facing alarming charges. police say he killed his father after a five. steve cooper is live in dedham where the suspect appeared in court earlier today. steve. >> reporter: prosecutors tell us that this suspect not only threw his father down the stairs, but that he confessed to the murder. >> shocking, shocking. >> reporter: charged with the murder of his 59year -old father alex anderson faces a judge in district court. >> you are charged with murder, -- on your. >> reporter: prosecutors say it happened here on lower e. street in the house the two lived n. the 25-year-old told investigators his dad aggravated him recently and so overnight he went into his father's bedroom and violently attacked him. >> opened the door. >>ing into his father's bedroom. he stabbed him in the cheek. he admitted to kneeling on his father's neck. >> reporter: he said he assaulted his father with a hammer before throwing him
