abduction in roxbury. they say he tried to kidnap a girl off the street. >> anchor: get out to roxbury and tim caputo with breaking details for us. >> reporter: this is where it happened around 6:20 this morning on blue hill avenue. a young girl walking down the sidewalk on her way to school is approached by an older man who tries to kidnap. i want to get back to that picture to police are looking for. this is a man 6' tall about 200 pounds. a black shirt and a hat as well. approaching this young girl trying to grab her and trying to potentially pull her into his car. she was able to break free with the help of a passer by who was on the street at the same time. a neighbor told me who lives across the street around 6:15

girl screaming. she saw that young girl running up the street hysterical running away from a man walking in a different direction. boston police releasing this information this evening. they're hoping people in the area recognize him and call into police so he can be arrested as soon as possible. tim caputo 7 news. >> tonight on 7 a school bus goes off the road. >> it sounded tipping over. >> when the bus finally stopped most of us got hurt. >> it's a crash course. >> anchor: several children had to go to the hospital. >> anchor: tonight police are looking into what caused that crash. kimberly bookman live in quincy with the latest. how are the kids doing. >> reporter: you see within the last 20 minutes that school bus has been towed away from the

students screamed as the school bus they were riding on lost control hit a car, a telephone pole, and a stone wall. then crashed smack dab into a house. >> everyone was yelling screaming. >> reporter: it happened quincy during an early release drop off. >> when i was in the house it sounded like dump trucks flipping over. boom boom boom. >> reporter: 2 dozen elementary students got off the bus helped workers. along with 5 children children including oh, wen mckim. >> it was really loud noises and then i fell out of my seat. >> reporter: nerve racking for owen's mom who instead learned he was at south shore hospital. >> he's my only kid. it was stressful. >> reporter: all the injuries

you say thank god there weren't more injuries. it doesn't look nice with the pole the wall and the vehicle. >> reporter: investigators try to figure out how this happened the people living in the house where the bus is parked have to figure out the damage they're dealing with. >> the house is completely shook up. everything is all over the place. it looks like an earthquake. see what we can do. >> reporter: and school officials sent out a afternoon saying that the principal and assistant principal will ride on let school bus with the students tomorrow to make them feel safe. >> anchor: crews on the scene of a tractor trailer roll over in south boston today. that over turned truck was stuck blocking a lot of the road. nobody was hurt. they're trying to figure out what went wrong. >> anchor: a woman seriously

she was walking between the cars when one was rear ended. 2 other people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. >> anchor: 7 news focusing on your forecast. tonight temperatures could really drop how cold are we talking chief meteorologist jeremy reiner has the details. >> reporter: down in the 20s and 30s tomorrow morning. right now the city at 44. jaffrey at 30. our coldest northwest winds out there at this time 10 to 15 miles per hour. setting up wind shields in the lower and middle 30s. jaffrey feels like 31. mostly clear cold. that wind will fade away after midnight tonight. that will allow temperatures to find their way in the 20s and 30s. these will be the temps about 7:00 tomorrow morning.

temps tomorrow afternoon only in the mid and upper 40s. the rest of the week features more cool temps coming up in a few minutes. >> anchor: a man facing alarming allegations after police say he beat a husky at the station. kelly o'hara reports. >> reporter: this is sarah the 9 month old husky recovering from her injuries tonight after in attacked police say by her owner. this is the video that led mbta officers to arrest him. the owner sitting there. and at one point that witness says he started punching his husky. >> he threw the dog down and put all of his weight on top of him with his knee. hitting him with an open fist a closed fist. telling him to shut up sit down

with this beautiful dog kelly o'hara 7 news. >> anchor: racing to the rescue after a porch collapsed. a man became trapped in a 10 foot hole when a screened in porch collapsed in a home in boston last night. and he is now recovering from minor injuries. >> anchor: a dedham man facing chilling charges. the 25-year-old pleaded not guilty in court today. a house the 2 shared. the dad aggravated and recently overnight he went in his father's room and attacked him with a hammer. neighbors understandably are shocked. >> i got little girls here. i got 3 little girls. to think that someone was capable of doing that across the street. >> anchor: prosecutors say anderson's father had taken out

in the merrimac valley. worcester at 43. out on the cape and the islands lots of sun but temps chilly only near 50 degrees. as we work toward thursday there will be a band of some rain and cold air leaving to wintry precipitation to western and central new england. snow will break out midday berkshires as well as much of vermont. into the worcester hills there's sleet maybe snow as well for a few hours midthursday afternoon. this will not be an issue for travel plans thursday afternoon. and as you get closer to 495 and the coastline it's a chilly rain that develops thursday afternoon. we all have rain thursday night. beneficial rain at that.
