they say engine 7 was heads up com avenue when the engine collided with a car at dartmouth street. it veered off and hit a parked car and damaged other cars parked in front of it. four firefighters and the driver of the first car were taken to nearby mass general hospital. two of those firefighters have since been released. all are expected to be okay. as you surprising news from foxborough. an espn report says the patriots have traded star linebacker jamie collins to the cleveland browns. in exchange, the pats will receive a third-round pick. the 27-year-old was a second-round pick by the paths in 2013. no official word from the patriots yet. they're on a bye-week with the next game november 13th. that's the latest. live in the newsroom, adam

hit. witnesses told police they say mitchell slow down but didn't stop. however, mitchell's attorney disagrees and says he turned him in. >> unfortunately, it was an accident that happened, but there's no evidence it was careless or that the vehicle was swerving. there's no evidence like that. >> reporter: as for that mother and her two daughters, they are expected to be okay. one of her daughters, though, has some serious broken bones still at mass general hospital. mitchell is due in front of a o'hara, 7 news. a man accused of assault tonight. they say andy tau raped a student in the school parking lot during school hours. they met on a family party and had plans to meet up the day he assaulted her. the 44-year-old is pleading not guilty and held on bail. the 18-year-old man accused of stabbing and killing another man appeared in court today. darius berry is charged with

court today for stabbing that man to debt death on paris street in august. streets shut down and businesses evacuated after a gas leak near boston's government center in morning. contractors working in the area hit a gas main. we have the latest. >> i came up the street, and i was just shocked to see everything happens. >> a rough start to the work week after a work crew struck a six-inch gas mai a.m. >> i was in the building. it was probably about 8:00, one of the guys came up and said, everybody out of the building. we have been standing here ever since. >> dozens of people were already inside work and 40 court street were all ordered to evacuate when gas levels inside the buildings were threw the roof. six street level businesses were impacted as well. >> our meters indicate the presence of gas in those

but some is leaking into the immediate building. as a precaution we evacuation them. >> the boston police seal off the roads around the leak, leading to traffic troubles at the height of the monday morning commute. >> it's a little disruptive, but it happens. i mean, hopefully it's cleared up soon. i'm trying to stay positive about it. >> work crews spent hours capping the gas leak and working to air out the buildings. no one was hurt just a little most seem to be taking all this in stride. >> go get a coffee and stand around and wait and see if we get back in today. that's about it. >> reporter: a lot of disruption around here, but the good news is dwroun h no up one was hurt. the cause of the gas leak is still under investigation. in downtown boston, steve cooper, 7 news. a quincy school bus driver has been cited after his bus went off the road and hid a house last week. the crash happened last tuesday on cory street near the

the sky. no word or how the fire starts or if anyone was hurt. caught on camera. police have new video of a tiring airport attack in new orleans in 2015. soo investigator say a man sprayed bug spray on the people in the security line before attacks them with a machete. if you remember, this was last march. he chased a tsa agent through the metal detector. he was shot and killed. a possible abduction is caught on camera in you see two suspects pup you will outside of a walmart after leaving thele car, one returns and opens the trunk. moments later they appear to force the victim into the open trunk. the suspects get back in and speed off. police are still looking for them. video of a man kicked off a cable car in san francisco is going viral. he's holding a pit ball and arguing with a police officer. the woman says the dog is a service animal.

mid-week warm-up. police need your help to find this suspect accused of attacking an employee. >> a woman stranded in her car for five days. how crews rescued her just in time. a fire truck and car collide in boston's back bay. the engine ran into a parked car, and it caused a change reaction. four firefighters and one other person had to go to the hospital after that crash. >> right now we know two of them have since been released. investigators say that truck was responding to a call at the time. let's get out to steve cooper live on the scene in the back bay. steve. >> adam, witnesses tell us that everything here happened in a split second. the encouraging news tonight is two of those four firefighters have been treated and released from mass general hospital. as for the wreckage, much has been towed away.

see an suv beyond us and two or cars. those are three damaged cars lined up along com avenue. some of the damaged cars are unrecognizable. everybody talks about the frightening crash today. >> just seeing the whole thing happen is surreal, but i don't know -- yeah. >> reporter: chaos on com avenue just before noontime today when a man driving a red chevrolet collided with a 30-ton fire fruk, engine 7 with four firefighters on board was headed to a call when happened. >> he hit the fire truck, and the fire truck ended up swerving and hitting the cars on the side of the road right there. >> reporter: the impact sent the fire truck barreling off the road ending up on two wheels before touching off a chain-reaction crash with eight other parked cars. >> my first instinct was to run and make sure everybody else was okay. >> before the firefighters were taken to mass general, where
