a -- >> wizard. >> and the spell that you cast was what? >> the spell that i cast is the reason i'm here today. nobody knew it, but i'm back as a result of the spell that i cast. >> what's that song, i put a spell on you? >> yeah, put a spell on you. >> did you feel it? >> i didn't intend for that to happen, i just ended up here. >> all of a sudden i'm writing e-mails, we need to have harry back, we need to have harry back. >> i was calling where's harry, where's harry. he is hanging out in cleveland. game seven now, guys. that was the spell. >> it's crazy. >> kind of fun for a world series. >> it's so fun. >> for these two teams that either one will go down in history and it's just going back and forth. you never know. >> but that's what you want. >> exactly. >> you hope for that. >> a sweep would have been so disappointing. >> and half is pulling for cleveland and the other half is pulling for chicago and it's really, really fun.
10:02 am
on your show. you're doing a whole "american idol" series. >> we did kelly clarkson, kelly pickler, it's really fun to see from the time they audition for "american idol" and they go to superstars, it's fun to talk to them. >> and to see their evolution. that's one of the best parts is seeing you guys who were superstars and these young people come in, they're nervous, their families are standing keith when you were on the show and then they're huge superstars. >> i told kelly clarkson this when i saw her. when she went into the audition room for the first time, i went back and looked at the tape and you can tell that she's a superstar even before she was famous. she said she wanted to be a background singer, that's what she wanted to do. and in reality, she has so much charisma, so much talent, you can tell looking at this young woman that she was bound to be a superstar.
10:03 am
checking that out. also the other guy that comes on this show when al is not available, he tries to sneak in. >> what's his name, tamron? >> his name is eric dane. you have to google him and people say he's really handsome. >> he's like a 4. >> a 4 out of what, out of 4? >> out of 2. >> so eric dane was on your show? >> yeah, we both played doctors on television and we tried to make medical terms sound sexy. i lost, by the >> we have a clip. let's gather around. >> capillaries. >> ulna. >> ice cream headache. you got the next one, man. >> oral cavity. >> i got this one, since i like to back it up all the time.
10:04 am
>> your eyes -- >> how do you compete with that? >> how did you keep a straight face? >> oh, i didn't. i laughed the whole time. when eric dane comes on the show, i don't tell jill because i don't want her anywhere near the studio. >> so you keep your wife away? >> yeah, i don't want her being around this guy. >> but she's got you. >> no, no, no, he's eric dane. what do you mean he is. see? see what happened just harry, we like you too. >> when you're really close to him, don't you feel the steam? >> it's steamy. i had to change my jacket after he left the show. >> he runs hot. what is harry's take? what is that? >> harry's take is a really fun segment on our show that we're starting this week. people are writing in suggesting songs for me to sing that maybe i wouldn't normally sing. it could be from any era, the

whenever. i take them and do it with my band and put my spin on it, which is really fun, because i lot of these tunes, we're getting thousands of requests for songs. >> what are some examples of songs? >> like i'm trying to think of some good ones that we got. songs like marvin gay tunes or journey songs. >> so those are high brow because i was thinking like little john turned down for what? >> that too. friday there's a song, i don't want to give it away, but wouldn't expect me to do. >> give us the genre. >> when you said little john, it's -- but that's all i'm going to say. it's good stuff. >> so this friday. >> yeah. >> okay. we'll be watching. >> it's going to be really cool. >> no, we're both candy fanatics and dylan has this idea. gather around, family at home. >> this is your idea? >> this is her idea. >> it didn't come from me on on monday i went to up new york and met with the family that's

10:07 am
>> this is sacrilegious to do this to the candy corn. >> so three peanuts and a candy corn. >> it's pretty good, though, for real. >> you know what it tastes like? >> a payday. >> that's what it is. >> isn't it amazing? >> or you could buy a payday. >> on your payday. buy a payday, on your payday. >> tamron, i'll do the jokes. >> you are a syndicated tv host. i'm just on borrowed time. >> so this is something i'd highly >> this is delicious. >> it's a 3 to 1 ratio. >> so you've got to put enough peanuts in. so you have to put more peanuts in ratiowise because you don't want to run out of peanuts. >> did you know that the candy corn is supposed to be corn kernels? if you stack them up like that. >> you said that out loud just now? >> yeah. but i didn't know that. and like if -- really, you knew that? i never thought of it as being corn kernels.
10:08 am
>> really? >> so this could be a mad genius tip. >> that it's actually candy corn? >> or the book party. >> i never thought of it like that, like circus peanuts -- i guess it looks like whatever -- do you like circus peanuts? >> no, they're gross. >> what's that? >> the big orange nasty things? >> they are gross. >> i love them. >> my grandmother used to have them all the time. >> they're not called puffy peanuts? >> you can call them puffy peanuts. >> they're called peanuts. >> our man, justin, is googling it right now. last night, guys, i was hanging out, he had his party for his new book, so proud of him, mad genius tips. that's us. you've got to take a good selfie once you get to a good party. justin will join us a little later with some great mad genius tips just in time for thanksgiving. isn't it genius they created a corn candy and it looks like a corn? >> i never looked at it that way either. >> puffy peanuts.
